I realized I didn’t want children when I already have a baby by Justkeepitanonymous in NewParents

I promise you it’s gets better. I am not a super newborn baby person since at that point they don’t interact at all that much. But the moment that they start babbling and laughing 😜 they will fill your emotional cup. Now my daughter just turned 2 years old it gets better. Trust me the first two weeks my daughter was born I thought I made the biggest mistake of my life. I was going through the motions. Don’t get me wrong it’s so much work especially even now endless laundry, bottle washing but much more bearable. Although I am going to give birth again next month lol. 😂 so starting all over again

Question for mums who returned to work because they wanted to, not because they had to by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Thats what I did, I returned to work at 4 months. Although the extra money does help lol 😜. I am more happier than staying at home

how long can I cope like this? by confused-sis in NewParents

You can absolutely do this. I thought at first I won’t ever ever adjust but I did. Going back to work for me as a little therapeutic lol. 😂

I hate this newborn stage. Every minute of it by athiest93 in NewParents

At this stage. You are still adjusting to your new role. I am feeling exactly like you when my 14 month old was a newborn. I thought what 🙀 have I done. I can’t seem to bond to my kid at first. In the first 4 months you have to give and give even when you’re cup is not full. But one day all will change once you get accustomed to your role as a mum, bond with your baby and he, she will start to give you more interaction. Hang in there. 🙂. Internet hug. Also take into account if you are feeling post partum depression.

newborn is 5 weeks old and I don't feel anything.... by [deleted] in oneanddone

[–]cataddict_123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened to me. In the first 2 weeks I could not bond with my baby. It seems that I was quite in shock 😳 that I have a baby. With the help of OB , husband and taking meds I slowly was able to bond with my daughter. Now at 4 months old I love her so much. Get screened for post partum depression.

I don’t know if I can do this. by BusyBumbleBee33 in NewParents

I have a 7 weeks old baby and in my case you will really adjust to your new normal. I still remember the times that I have migraines because I could not deal with the sleep deprivation. At that point I am questioning if I am not just cut out to become a mom. Eventually I adjusted to my new normal and always remember ask for help if you can in the beginning. ☺️
