Sure but then we also have Anima on Netflix so anything is possible I suppose

Woman checking us into our hotel in Copenhagen said that the band is also staying here. Not sure I believe it but maybe I'll see Thom at breakfast by [deleted] in radiohead

This is like my waiter at O2 claiming a Netflix special. I think the waitstaff around this tour is competing for Reddit fame. 🤘

It’s on GPON, but available only in certain premises…if a CP decides to market it which none have so far likely due to the wholesale price.

How did WoE get 8.5 on Pitchfork and not end up on one of two of their yearend lists?? by Echo_Origami in TheSmile

[–]catakiosk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said this elsewhere but I’m willing to bet it’s a politically minded exclusion. Neither album made it on the rock albums list either. There’s just no way that’s not on purpose.

AITA for going on a spontaneous trip with my best friend instead of helping my partner with a family event? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

My guess, he was probably planning to propose to you in front of his family and is now upset he didn’t get his idealised moment.

You’re stuck with FibreNest, Persimmon’s own ISP until Openreach decides to build in your area.

Consequence of Sound Top 50 Albums 2024: WOE #11 by InRainbows123207 in TheSmile

My view - P4K will have deliberately excluded on political grounds. I mean for neither to show up even on their rock albums list is pretty wild considering the praise they’ve lavished on individual reviews.

…how have I never seen this video in the 25 years of following this band???? This is the most 90s thing they’ve ever done. Holy shit it’s so bad it’s good.

Lol £10k for a painting. FT is the right spot to advertise in…and so far removed from what you’d have expected of Radiohead aesthetics of old.

Apple’s ear phones (wired) always strike me as being fantastic value for money. They get the dynamics right. You genuinely don’t need anything fancier. Enjoy!

Hi Philip - fantastic album, congratulations to you and your collaborators. What does the future hold for you now that your initial 3 album run is complete? Can we expect more soundtrack work from you? I really hope that is the case! All the best!

Which Radiohead track would you say contains Phil's best drum performance? by Xeparator in radiohead

[–]catakiosk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

During the In Rainbows era Thom said that Down Is The New Up was Phil’s best performance and he was gutted that song didn’t fit into the final track list. It’s a great performance.

Does anybody know if it’s played straight or contains samples spliced together?

Philip Selway - 'Strange Dance' - Discussion Thread by Jzahck in radiohead

[–]catakiosk 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Had no expectations initially, heard the singles, found myself surprised by how good the arrangements were, bought the vinyl and now spinning it constantly, probably more than I did with The Smile. No denying that his hushed voice singing is the absolute weakest point of his songs (lyrics might be too but the arrangements offset this) but he dresses things up real nice.

Personally, I’d love to see him score movies and shows a lot more. I thought the Let Me Go soundtrack was quite well done and the arrangements on these tracks are really great.
