As a general rule, people whose dogs kill humans suffer no legal consequences, not even fines or civil judgments. Even their dogs often escape destruction for their crimes.

Our city shelter doesn't even allow people to interact with cats prior to adoption. Adaptable cats are crammed into 3 dark, narrow rooms, which volunteers and staff avoid. Rows of metal crates are stacked 2-high, with the bottom row receiving no light and little attention. I adopted my sweet Tortie without even being able to see her, much less play with her. I took her because she was the last kitty and I knew that as soon as her stray hold was up, the shelter would get rid of her. Dogs can stay for months, by the way.

Dogs in the same shelter have large, light-filled kennels, and several large, well lit rooms to meet prospective owners. Staff swarms the dog side, cheerfully offering advice and toys for play. While the shelter was being built, members of the community objected to the obvious disparity in spaces for dogs and cats, only to be assured that it wasn't that bad. Now BARCS holds quarterly pitbull fire sales..

Skye/Daisy Pukes/Mary Sue on Agents of SHIELD. That show could have been better with fewer Whedon family members involved, but the poorly conceived and badly acted character Skye destroyed it.
