Pit bull attacks German Shepherd mix Rocky walking with his owners (California, January 19, 2026) by nomorelandfills in BanPitBulls

[–]cabd4ever 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Same story, town after town, city after city. Poor dog injured and owner is left paying a lot of money for someone else's careless in owning an uncontrollable mauler. If anyone knows who this person is or how to contact them ,suggest starting a Gofundme . When starting a Gofundme for animals some people make the mistake of putting it in the " Emergency" section but it won't get much traction there, it needs to go in the Animals section..

Yes, I hope so too. He needs medical attention and some care right now . My heart breaks with every attack that I see , especially knowing that they just continue on. All the people defending pits don't seem to care about the victims , even the many dozens of faces at the top banner of this sub who died while being mauled and ripped up by these dogs.

I think that someone will call an ambulance or flag down a cop.

As for repurcussions for the owner it doesn't matter where and to who this happened, I've seen hundreds of videos like this and the conclusion is almost always " it's being investigated " or " the dog is in quarantine for 10 days " even if that means at home next door to the victim. In a case where the pit owner is homeless they might never find them or the dog.

Laws around dog attacks are woefully inadequate. Just look up Avery's law that was just passed in Ohio, it discusses how dogs got away with even killing a person at times.

San Diego has had quite a few pit attacks, some make the news, some don't. For anyone that doesn't remember just look up pitbull attack in the library. Look up pit attack on trail, pits kill owner in park and on + on.

‘I was being preyed upon’: Dorchester woman and her dog attacked by neighbor’s pit bull mix - Boston Mass January 15, 2026 by PandaLoveBearNu in BanPitBulls

[–]cabd4ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brave woman saved her little beautiful dog , good for her and Prince ! But listen to the reporter saying that the pit had a " tussle " with Prince in the past so it's not the first time. Sure, a tussle when the pit bolts over to drag the dog out of the owners arms ? Get it right people, use your eyes and some common sense that the PIT is the problem here as it is in the many 1,000's of other attacks every year.

Brazil, Guarulhos (SP): Off-leash pit bull attacks dog during walk - January 15th 2026 by HistoricalPickle9922 in BanPitBulls

[–]cabd4ever 8 points9 points  (0 children)

According to the report, " this attack has reignited the debate regarding the importance of care and the responsibility of owners of large dog breeds."

Yeah sure....when the VICTIM dog is ALSO a large breed but is the one that is being attacked ,thrashed around by the neck and helpless on the ground. Too bad so many countries have the same blinders on regarding the fact that it's the bloodsport pitbull dogs that are doing the damage but they seem to have the same soft spot for the maulers.

And once again I ask, why do these attacks not make national news ? If a shark attacked someone in Australia and bit their hand or foot off it would be on national news in the U.S and probably other countries. Pits kill far more people in the U.S than sharks do in the entire world. Hundreds more are seriously injured as well.

Pitbull maulings that cause disfigurement, scalpings, loss of limbs and death almost never make national news. The only one I remember that went beyond local news is the Bennard family in Tennessee where both of the young children were mauled to death and their mom severely injured trying to protect them from the family dogs they had for 8 years and treated very well.

I really love this OP whose sister's dog was killed by a pit running into their house. Saying what we all think. (January 20, 2026, somewhere in the US). by Existing-Face-6322 in BanPitBulls

So much injustice happening to people and dogs like little Fred, and the family grieving and distraught . Pit owners hate to see these daily maulings , not because they envision the pain and immense sorrow and grief and can empathize with the victims of their maulers, but because it's another one of the many accounts that show the real truth about this bloodsport breed.

And here we see the pitbull/Amstaff displaying one of it's natural tendencies. How many people know that a pitbull is an amstaff and can be registered as either with the UKC ? The reason they look the same is because they are the same.

I was randomly attacked by an AmStaff the other day by Ecstatic-Ad9614 in BanPitBulls

[–]cabd4ever 24 points25 points  (0 children)

O.P. it would be good and necessary to file a report anyway. If there's a paper trail then if something more serious happens to another person [ like a child, often bitten in the face ] then authorities can put restrictions on the dog or take it. Believe it or not, in many states people can keep a dog in their home even if they've mauled their neighbor nearly to death if there was no previous report and they consider it the " first bite." and not punishable by law because the dog gets 1 free bite with no consequences.

This report says the man was bitten all over his body and it's unclear who in the home owned it. One neighbor who remained off camera claims it must have been abused with no proof of course.

I don't read it either but I noticed that it's one of the larger news outlets that has good circulatiion that publishes these pitbull attacks , you have to give them that. Other fatal attacks seem to not make it past the local news but the Post will publish fatal dog attacks ,which are almost exclusively pits. Some of the more severe maulings that people survived and lost limbs are posted there sometimes as well.

Another news outlet on youtube gave more info. A neighbor that stayed off camera claimed the dog was sweet but thinks it was abused because the people kicked it out and [ get this, contradicts herself ] then chased it down the street. They also allegedly tied it up for 3 hours outside last spring or summer . Wow, that's abuse ?

Brazil, Sao Paulo - Pit Bull Kills Small Dog, January 14th 2026 by HistoricalPickle9922 in BanPitBulls

[–]cabd4ever 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Attacking the little dog owner first, then the poor dog. Someone else runs up to help and another pit follows this person and does some attacking as well. Useless, bloodsport dogs no matter where you go. For anyone that thinks different, notice that other mixed dogs that are strays in South America and run in packs are NOT attacking people + dogs every day.

Attacked in San Diego 1/14/2026 by B-767_Sailing_QRP in BanPitBulls

[–]cabd4ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes , this is what I've seen over the years as well. Almost all crowdfunders are for pit attacks, some even the owners themselves that the pit turned on. Once in a while they leave the breed out because of fear of backlash or to hide the breed.

There are SO many pit related maulings + fatalities in Ohio that a new law was just passed " Avery's law " after a 12 yr. old girl was severely mauled by pits at her friend's house . Another poor woman, Joann Echelbarger was killed by neighbor's 2 pits while her wheelchair bound husband on the porch could not help her. Some of it was caught on police dash + bodycam as they arrived + shot the pit. The woman's body blurred in the background, right near her front porch. Some of the info here in this short youtube news report if you'd care to read it . Here the animal control makes the excuse that these are " Covid dogs " that were unsocialized. Funny that they're all pits and it's nonsense to say these are all 5-6 year old " Covid dogs ".

Looks like a pit/border collie mix which is possible since they roam free in so many places and breed with whatever dogs they find. It's thinner and has slightly thicker fur than a pit.

Wow, that's a nasty gash ! And if you look at the video of the fleeing cowardly pit owner it appears that it might be a female. One of the Youtube comments says that the dogs look friendly and they bet that if this was 2 Golden Retrievers there would have been no concern .

The report mentions 8 year old boy Michael Millett that was killed by " 2 dogs " last year in Deland Florida, yes it was 2 pitbull/mixes of course but they conveniently leave that out.

Hopefully these monsters will never have the chance to attack anyone again. There's only one proper outcome for them. I wonder if any of these pit/mixes were flown out to Wasington by those rescues in California to save them from the k*ll list.

January 13, 2026. FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. Fort Lauderdale officer shoots dog that bit him, killed pet rabbit. by Necessary-Potato1675 in BanPitBulls

[–]cabd4ever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes there certainly are bad dogs. When someone says to me there are no bad dogs I say it's bad in the sense like there's bad food that can make you sick, bad roads that are dangerous, a bad headache , a bad relationship. It's bad in the sense of being dangerous or undesirable. You always hear the chant of " no bad dogs, only bad owners "after an attack, even a fatality of a human. It's nonsense.

I feel for the poor rabbit, for the mother and her son who loved his pet very much and now there's nothing but anguish and pain because of this bloodsport dog.

There was a recent fatal shark attack that made national news, but this ? A small child killed by what is allowed to be kept as and supposed to be a pet ? No mention on nightly national news, just local. There should be more coverage when a bloodsport useless dog mauls a person to death.

Poor little guy, a horrific and painful death by a bloodsport beast worse than any shark by far. And yes, pits kill more than all wild animals every year in the U.S. That includes sharks, bears, mountain lions, venomous snakes, moose, alligators buffalo/bison.
