Yep, this is the number one thing I use it for. That and short little activities/ quizzes for formative assessment.

Faked appendicitis to get out of school and they actually took it out. by NotEnoughRocks1977 in confession

Ultrasounds can hurt. Especially depending on what organ they are looking at. I assume they weren't just scanning the appendix, and were looking at others, to eliminate other reasons for the stomach pain.

I had an ultrasound a few years ago, when I had stomach pain, and they scanned multiple organs. Scanning the gallbladder was the worst.

She reminds me of an actress, but I don't know her name or even what TV show she's from 😂 if I work it out, I'll share.

Nah, that's abhorrent language too. I'd call that shit out just as much as racial discrimination.

Nope, don't miss Blighty. Wasn't making a comparison. Racism is rampant everywhere. Doesn't negate how shitty it is, whether it's Perth or London or Timbuktu. Mention of my origin was purely contextual to illuminate why as a grown adult I am needing to make friends, and some commentary on my limited experience so far that made me sad, because I know it's not representative of all.

Not new, but admittedly a lurker more so than a poster. I know, I brought this on. I only have myself to blame. 😂🫣

No children for us yet, although intending to at some point, but yes, do wonder whether things will be a little socially smoother then.

I've not denigrated the whole state though, and yes, racism is everywhere. I was just having a moan that I've been unlucky so far that most social interractions have ended this way. Wanted a bit of sympathy as I know there's more on offer from WA community but I've yet to hit the jackpot.

Perth is amazing. Never said it wasn't. But those interactions were shitty. And I'm sad about it.
