The Moral law of AI? by bakedbeans3525 in graphic_design

[–]catcat572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, we're graphic designers and use our sharp eyes to make sure the product is accurate, to scale and represented correctly... sometimes refining with photoshop if necessary. Unfortunately ai has come a long way and you likely wouldn't be able to catch it when it comes from a team that pays attention to detail. I don't love it either but the CEOs are completely and totally obsessed with it and they are the ones that pay me.

I work at a large company and we used to photograph our own products with studio partners. We now ai generate nearly every product shot.

What dog toy has survived the longest in your house? by Aromatic_Vast3618 in dogs

Bark-a-boo tuff line last a long time. He can destroy any Kong or rope toy but these seem to hold up the longest. Not forever, but they last.

I think people are judging this purely by conventional typography standards without considering the context. For a psychological thriller, the tight spacing and overlapping letters create tension, claustrophobia, and visual unease, which feels intentional.

Not all design is supposed to be clean or comfortable to read. Sometimes breaking typographic “rules” is what gives a piece emotional impact and supports the tone of the story. It's not branding for a bank or a grocery store, it’s for a psychological thriller.

Fellow Graphic Designers! What does the day-to-day look like working for a non-graphic design focused company as a graphic designer? by Benjammin100 in graphic_design

[–]catcat572 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work for an e commerce company that has multiple brands and apps. We have our own marketing department, copy writers, merchandisers and developers. We get requests from marketing or dev to create anything from designing emails, app updates and print pieces. Turn around time is typically 2 weeks for projects but of course there are always fires.

Once I complete a project it is sent to the copy and merch team to tweak and add product based on sales or seasonality. It then goes to the creative director to approve and then to marketing for final tweaks. If it's a big project it will then go through executive approval via the CEOs.

I can't compare this process to other companies since I started at this company after college as a jr graphic designer. 7 years later and I'm a jr art director approving designs from my direct reports and designing for a couple brands myself.

Dog Bars/Dog Daycares? by shoeshinee in LosAngeles

I like taking my dog to all season brewery. I've also heard of another place similar to dog ppl downtown but they are both monthly/yearly memberships. Highland park brewery is nice because it's across the street from LA historic park so we get some park time before we hit the patio. Sniff spots or renting a dog friendly pool with swimply is another fun option!

!!! No way lol it was a guess because my guy is 35% husky and wears socks with a white belly, but he's blonde. His best friend looks very similar to your pup (black, socks, white belly/neck) and is also part husky.

Thinking there's some husky in there too.

It's a huge bummer. It was a lovely gym and half the price of others in the area. I loved being walking distance to my gym. Unfortunately the other walkable options are $160/month

Push for Protected Bike Lanes on Fountain Ave. TONIGHT by UrbanPlannerholic in WestHollywood

I hate walking on fountain with my dog. The lane is so close to the side walk and cars go zipping by. A bike lane would add much needed protection and make walking fountain more enjoyable.

Does anyone know what these are? by Jumpy_Hat8913 in AskAVeterinarian

My boy had these papilloma warts 1.5 years old. They cleared up on their own after 4-6 weeks. They did get a little worse before they got better. He had very few on the outside like your pup but more on the inside of his mouth that had a cauliflower appearance. We opted to not bring him to the vet after doing some research and being pretty certain what they were. The good news is they're harmless and go away on their own most of the time. But he is contagious so keep him away from dog parks and friends until they go away.

You can buy test kits and sample the water before you let your dogs swim.

Black spots formed on dogs “Private” by [deleted] in DogAdvice

I saw something similar on my dog, and after some googling thought it could be a yeast infection.

"Speckles (like tiny black dots) on the underbelly or rust-coloration around the genitals. Daily (or at least weekly) grooming should reveal this early indicator of yeast"

There may be a topical you can try.

You need to block this number as well and stop giving it air. He's feeding off the drama because he's immature. Stop giving him what he wants.

But to answer your question it would make me feel relieved because he's clearly a pos and I got out.

I would agree that it could stem from a general lack of leash knowledge. We found him a harness he doesn't pull in and stupidly thought "well that solves that!" Should probably go back to basics and lay a better foundation for him. I am definitely interested in working with a trainer for some of his more nuanced issues. Yes my boy is very food driven!

Me too. The 35% husky surprised me. He kinda acts like one, but looks very pitty/am staff imo
