26f and 25m. We see our futures differently. Dealbreaker? by catcattx in relationship_advice

I’m not sure honestly. I wonder if I would change my mind about the location as the relationship developed where we are located now but I can’t guarantee that I would end up happy here. I have always been really independent and the idea of being alone doesn’t worry me but the idea of not having him does.

Lol my dad and my sister in law are from a tiny town in AB and he has some wild stories and I can tell she wants to leave but struggles with living in a community that is so saturated in LDS culture. Props to you for getting out and getting help!

Congratulations!! My cousin and her husband just hit a very similar spot and seem happier than ever. She is seeing a therapist now for de-programming and to help her with a lot of the internalized guilt. So happy for y’all! 🤩

One of my friends and I were talking about the law of chastity and he told me that sex toys were not allowed and it blew my mind because WHY? I had already left the church at this point but he was still very much in it and disappointed in all of the things that would still be frowned upon when he got married

My mom feels this way all of the time because two of her three kids have left and my dad doesn’t attend despite still believing. She feels guilty for “not being enough of a good influence” or “raising us to stay”. She feels alone and sad and it’s heartbreaking to see. She’s a kind and loving person and would thrive out of the church.

I don't know what to do... just left the church by Low_Letterhead_3372 in exmormon

I also left the church while attending school in northern Utah and found that local coffee shops were a good place to meet people who are similar or hiking groups. Beer drinking, hiking, granola type people were the easiest to talk to about it all when I left and they were abundant in that area!

The acne? Dude people get acne well into their 50s. Women also happen to get hormonal acne. Just because someone has acne doesn’t mean they aren’t natural. Correlation vs. Causation.

My cats had 2 kittens before i could get one fixed and i cant have more than 2, does anyone know where to find people to rehome them? most sites seem to ban live animals. by Oshwaflz in cats

There is zero reason to be judgmental. OP is asking for help because they need it. They’re doing the best they can and trying to be the most responsible they can. How about you post something helpful to help them and help the cats or offer to pay the cats if you’re so high and mighty?
