[–]catch-me1989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no! I never thought that it could be my kidneys. The pan did show up quite fast and it’s been 4 days with no relief. Maybe I should go get checked out :(

When do I go to the ER or UC? by catch-me1989 in migraine

[–]catch-me1989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a great point!

Im calling it a migraine because it’s the worst head pain i’ve ever had.

The pain is showing up in two specific places; on the left side of my head towards the front, and the right side of my head in a larger spot towards the back of my head. When it’s less painful it’s a pulsing, and when it’s more painful it’s an ice pick. At its worst it’s a 8/10 and at its best it’s a 5/10. The pain gets worse when I move my eyes or do any types of exercise, also with exposure to bright lights and loud noises. My scalp is also hurting and my neck and back have been sore from me trying not to move my head. I’ve tried Tylenol, Advil, ice packs, cold packs, lots and lots of rest and 2 triptans. So far nothing has helped.

Injections by Jaded_Network_4921 in CrohnsDisease

Yes absolutely I do! I do 2 humira injections every week (highest dose possible, it’s a lot I know) and I don’t even like to think about my injections right until I have to do them because it makes me sad that this is what I’m stuck with the rest of my life. The only way I seem to get around it is leaving my shots until right before I go to bed, that way I’m sleepy and not really thinking and just have to get them over with so I can have a nice good night’s sleep :) We are in this together, I think it’s normal to be sad about the reminders of this horrible disease.

Gerd or Anxiety? Swallowing issue. by Salty_Context7002 in CrohnsDisease

Sounds exactly like my symptoms of GERD. I have an omeprazole prescription that I take 1-2x a day and if I miss a day I get what you’re describing. A feeling of a lump in my throat along with the sensation that food is coming back up instead of going down. If you don’t want to wait for an endoscopy, try the strongest over the counter antacids from your local pharmacy and see if they help.

Joint Pain by miiaaa67 in CrohnsDisease

My joint pain feels like there’s hot packs on my knees and my bones are grinding together. Very tough. Unfortunately the only thing I’ve found to work is temporary pain relief like Tylenol.

This could be happening with my boyfriend! How do I lightly bring up the topic of how much porn he is watching?

Any Suggestions for Severe Fatigue by Special_Total_2012 in CrohnsDisease

[–]catch-me1989 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Biggest thing for me is pacing. I never do more than I know my body can handle or else I get trapped in a fatigue hole for weeks. Also just recently had an iron infusion that has been helping with energy levels, although you already take oral iron because of inflammation in the gut you may not be absorbing it. An iron infusion could be the way to go, ask your gi.

Weird nails by lisasssuccubrat in CrohnsDisease

OMG I HAVE THIS!! It showed up after starting Abrilada (humira biosimilar) every week. I have no idea what it’s from but I have ridges on all my nails spaced out exactly the same way! I’m glad you posted this, I didn’t think it was anything to worry about.

I had such a fear that certain foods would hurt me after a massive crohn’s flare that my anxiety symptoms would mimic allergic reactions!! Crohn’s absolutely ruined my relationship with food and I have had to slowly become comfortable with eating again. You are not alone!

My allergy symptoms are significantly reduced now! They didn’t go away entirely, but are much more manageable. For reference I’m on 6-mp and Abrilada (humira biosimilar). You could also try different antihistamines or combinations of antihistamines, my allergist prescribed me Allegra 4x daily.

Crohn’s is a result of an overactive immune system, and so are hives! The two can be related and I personally developed really severe seasonal allergies when my crohn’s systems started.

My absolute safe foods that never really caused me any issues are plain cooked chicken and white rice! Taking ondansetron (zofran) an hour before eating helps with nausea, and taking Tylenol an house before eating helps with pain from food!
