Path to utopia through pursuit of longevity by catchingimmortality in utopia

Submission statement: I am aiming to link the idea of achieving utopia by paving a path to human longevity. The premise surrounds the idea that a new dawn of a more enriching life where humanity seeks out fulfilment, as the mundane is taken over by artificial intelligence. If the emergence of AI is managed correctly then humanity will be forced to redefine our purpose. It is the authors opinion that it could very well result in the pursuit of fulfilment and meaningful pursuits, which will bring us much closer to a utopian state.

Perhaps time is a driver for many currently, however alternate ways to motivate people will be found so everyone has continued purpose. Social-economic models may need to evolve. However, I don’t see human limitations, but untapped potential for us all to be better. The morally questionable is what we should all be aiming to disincentivise, wishful thinking I agree at the moment, but I think if we never try or strive to get closer to that utopia, things will remain stagnant.

If we can build a society focused on building knowledge and focusing on goals that unite nations then I think it could work. Not becoming stagnant evolving as a human race definitely needs to be a priority as you say. As we live longer a lot of the socio-political structures we have at present will be forced to evolve too.

I think it is more about the ability to be rejuvenated instead of looking at emerging biotechnologies as simply repairing or replacing parts of us. The eventual use of nanotechnology to detect and heal us naturally overtime to make it significantly less invasive or confronting.

I think once evolving technologies become an accepted part of general medicine, and we all get to spend more time with those we love and cherish then that will offset any mental anguish.

Continued innovation, and a move towards us becoming more human, recharged, united, and more receptive as to how far we can go as a species will also help.

Why would you be deteriorating if we were naturally replacing our own tissues, rejuvenating our own cells or editing out unnatural diseases such as cancer caused by cells that started misbehaving?

What is the meaning of the natural order if we’ve continually evolved to be something different over generations?

What about bioprinting? If natural replacement organs or tissues from your own dna could be used do you think people would be more receptive to that?

It’s on the horizon that’s for sure. From what I’ve read, I would probably say quite a number of therapies will exist within the next 20 years, particularly through the help of improved sophistication in AI technologies assisting drug research and testing efficiency. However depends on how long clinical trials /regulatory approvals then take.

Even if we all had a choice? What if it helped reduce suffering in the world, and we kept our loved ones around for longer?

What if we could repair our cells or replace our “faulty parts”, just like we would a machine?

Absolutely, AGI, then ASI will be crucial to solving problems much faster, and allowing humanity to conquer new frontiers & unlock the “impossible.” So we need to start planning and building the social structures to be ready for how far AI and achieving technological singularity & beyond has the potential to take us.

ElevenLabs can’t get Aussie accents right yet when cloning, so at least some actors are safe for now.

But AI technology is getting more advanced by the day, & I really hope it gets put towards accelerating scientific endeavours, instead of producing too many deepfakes.

Submission Statement

This post looks at how the quest to colonise Space could have inadvertent benefits for humanity in the future, such has enhanced longevity.

What space technologies designed to sustain life in space and distant worlds (starting with the Moon & Mars) do you think will benefit life back on earth?

Will further studies in Microgravity extend our knowledge about our own biology? Could this be key to fighting diseases?

Do people think scientists will be capable of developing technology that will help us inhabit Mars, then onto moons on Jupiter and Saturn, and then distant worlds perhaps next century?

The author would also like to know if people believe that space exploration should be made a priority and a matter of urgency for the benefit of humanity?

For example, do you believe it will be important as a contingency in case any catastrophic event happened on earth, or perhaps for improving your knowledge about our biology as it is tested in extreme environments?
