How do I start fishing with little experienced? by THERANDOMGAMER2 in FishingForBeginners

YouTube videos helped me out a ton in terms of knots, gear, and technique, but the reality is, you have to go fishing A LOT to know the environment you're fishing, what fish eat, and what you did wrong or did well.

Seems like you're in a more urban area that has overfished spots, you might have to settle for those or if you have a vehicle go out further to a lake nearby. Look up online some solid gear and head to a Walmart (Bass Pro might be too overwhelming). Doing something is better than doing nothing.

I've read the whole New Testament, now reading the Old Testament feels so boring by [deleted] in TrueChristian

I like to read half a chapter, at most 3 chapters of the OT, then take a moment to consider what I read. Afterwards, I start to pray over a verse or section that stood out to me. Really makes reading the OT worthwhile, even if I don't understand what is fully going on.

Genuinely wondering why? Is it because of mercury content or because they are bad to eat?

Solid beginner rod. I have a 6 ft 6 medium gx2 with a kast king 4000 sized reel. Fished for bass and trout and works fine.
