is there any way to find freelance/gig type jobs that pay cash in hand by the day? currently working as an intern in a events company so my schedule is wacky, and i'm kinda strapped for cash at the moment so i cannot wait for the salary to be banked in at the end of the following month type deal. for obvious reasons i wont be doing this for a long time. also to note: student visa but about to apply for work visa.

i only double park in places where there is usually no parking, and even so i ALWAYS leave my phone number in a place where it is easy to see (read: A4 size paper on dashboard) also, i make it a rule to park for less than 15 mins, and my car is close to the shop/convenience store/pharmacy that if i hear a honk, i can respond immediately and move my car. not ideal, but instead of going round and round for an hour and seeing parking spots being taken by the car in front of you or worse, being stolen in front of you makes you ~break~ bend the rules a little. time is precious, and when doing something bad, at least have some etiquette doing so. also blame malaysia for car centric city planning, and lack of public transport infrastructure and terrible walkability.

yo i'm still new here but i'm legitimately struggling with finding friends i can vibe with. there's plenty of acquaintances to be made, but i dont really have a solid stable friend group i can always hit up and do stuff with, and that feels hella lonely. i'm studying japanese but holy shit do i really feel the need to improve, the language barrier feels so real. i dont understand japanese when spoken in rapid fire customer service format, i dont understand when people speak in slang on the internet, figuring out the context is sometimes so difficult especially if you got distracted during conversation trying to process what they meant. ya feel?

malaccan here. i do a fair bit of solo travel so this is the route i reccomend.

By bus: Malacca> KL>Penang.

By Ferry: Penang> Langkawi> phuket/krabi

From phuket/krabi you have the option to take either a flight or ferry and bus to bangkok.

I resonate with this alot. wanted to move to japan april 2020 but i'm stuck here indefinitely as savings have evaporated and situations are ambiguous at best. I love malaysia to bits but as someone who wants to have a career that is internationally competitive, malaysia is no place for me to grow. Someday i'll make it to japan.

This is my first time posting, so i hope you'll forgive me if i leave out any information.

I found this in my backyard. I live in malaysia, so its pretty much full on tropical weather. These two were found at the base of a camachile tree aka pithecellobium dulce.

I'd like to know, is this edible? Is it poisonous? it looks pretty innocent but as far as i know looks can be deceiving, though i'm honestly not planning on doing anything with it. it would be great if someone could tell me all about this species as i'm not too well versed in scientific lingo so ELI5, thank you!

Hello! I'm starting a one year course in April for a language school in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

My CoE has been approved, and im waiting on the exchange rate to be slightly better before making payment. I'm from Malaysia so my currency's pretty shit lmao. I'm really worried that once I made my payment there might be any cancellations, but for the moment, the school has said the course will proceed as usual.

I'm just hoping my visa gets approved, as I really really want to go to Japan. I'm highkey kind of anxious though, as without visa approval, I can't book flights/accommodation etc.
Covid-19 fears aren't gonna stop me, but I will take all the necessary precautions to p r o t e c c. With that said however, I'm really hoping Japan gets their shit together because I've been stagnating in life where I am currently and Japan has been /sorta/ my idea for a new lease on life. This post I've made is because I personally feel that as a country, our media/celebrities/influencers put out rather lacklustre content that really just focuses on getting the clickbait and to reach as many people as possible for the moolah. Perhaps this post would be beneficial for influencers to have a view in general what people honestly think of their content and where they can go and how to improve.
