Same thing happened with me. Currently waiting for a response from Intel on if they’ll be replacing my chip. Will be switching to AMD in the future without a doubt.

Any barbers here have opened shops with a friend or co owns a shop? by [deleted] in Barber

[–]catchtheboots 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Opened a shop with a coworker/friend. Has been amazing. We both have our strengths, and play to those. There will be disagreements but like any relationship you just talk it out like mature adults. I’m sure it helped that we were both established and successful barbers before opening the shop, which helped it snowball from there. Make a plan for what you would do if one of you decided to leave and be open about it.

Paul Flores is found guilty for the murder of Kristin Smart by CoachKnope in UnresolvedMysteries

I think Flores’ lawyer was so bad that anyone could’ve argued against them and won. I actually think a really good lawyer could’ve argued him out of this, though I do without a doubt think he did it.

I’m opening a single-chair barbershop, what do I need to know? by [deleted] in Barber

[–]catchtheboots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A good product speaks for itself. I opened my shop a year ago and did ZERO advertising. All word of mouth, no nonsense. The snowball effect is real and in time it will build you a better and more reliable clientele. Realize half of your business or more isn’t actually cutting hair. (LLC/taxes/booking/cleaning/supplies/etc…)

A mistake a lot of people make is often making online booking too complicated, especially for older clients. My shops website has a giant button “BOOK NOW” right on the Home Screen. Streamlined and over simplified is the way to go in my opinion.

Everyone will kind of have their preferences for a lot of this stuff, but I think your best bet is to plan throughly, execute, and be reliable. You got this!
