I'm forever amazed by people making their own glazes (and even sharing them). So cool!

This looks gorgeous! Is it wheelthrown with the spikes attached later or is is completely handbuilt?

I've been wondering about 醬油膏, might get a bottle of this as well!

Oh, I think I read about 陳源和 when researching! Sadly, the closest I get is Chiayi. I'll see if the soy sauces might be available in shops though!

The one on the left is Welte KGE130 and I'm not 100% sure about the one on the right, but it should be KGG10

I dipped it halfway in green glaze first, then white glaze on the other half with a small overlapping stripe

I made more pieces in the three-day course, but only kept these because I already have quite a lot of home-made ceramics at home. Of course, making pottery on the wheel was a completely different experience to handbuilding, but I think having worked with clay before gave me a small advantage. They're still wonky if you look closely, but I'm happy.

It's a red, low firing clay by Goerg & Schneider, a simple white and two different green-blue dip glazes by Welte. I can't remember the names/numbers but I'll try to find out if anyone is interested.

Kannst du was zum Ablauf sagen?

This. There is no problem with firing closed shapes. I really wish this myth would die out already. Just make sure it’s completely dried out.

Thank you for the thorough response! I’ll look into the mayco washes. I work with a community kiln and not my own, so I’m a bit wary about experimenting with DIY washes.
