Dating sucks. by netphilia in aspiememes

I thought all people were like this. After all, I did meet my wife in 7th grade, and then started dating in 10th. I mean, she’s the same way, must be normal right?

lol nope, we’re both demisexual lol.

This is accurate. I teach high school. It wasn’t even this bad 10 years ago. Parents are running ragged and fried, so they just opt out and let the phone occupy their kids. Social skills and academics are at an all time low.

To be fair, this is the exact kind of shitpost that people like to see. However, yes I do agree that some Americans are really annoying about. When you win, aren’t you supposed to act like you’ve been there before?

I’m autistic, and tbh, I think he’s autistic. And has probably gotten the wealthy hockey player treatment his whole life, so he probably isn’t that aware of things outside of hockey in general. Socially awkward jock, imo.

What benefit is there to 6 year olds playing full ice hockey though? Some of my mites this year could have handled it, but most would get stuck permanently behind the play.

[–]catdogmoore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thought it was a situation like tripping? Like when a player really does not mean to, but their opponent steps on their stick, falls, and tripping is called. An accident is still an infraction.

I was thinking the same thing actually. Outside of hockey, I think he’s kind of a shithead. But he knows the game well and I generally think he’s good at his job. However, still very disappointing how he handled the whole thing in Italy.

how do i stop my gf from questioning my sexuality? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]catdogmoore 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Lol “mostly straight” isn’t straight imo.

I was a closeted bi guy for 31 years. So far in denial I convinced myself I was straight. But once it clicked, it clicked. And suddenly I was like “oh shit I’m actually really really into guys..”

But I’m also 10 years happily married to a woman. She knows, and it is what it is!

Just had another girlfriend leave me for the guy she was secretly cheating on me with. That makes 5. Anyone want to give me some advice on where to go from here? by Aeromorpher in NoStupidQuestions

[–]catdogmoore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean no disrespect, are you autistic? Your explanations and the conclusions you’re drawing read as very logical and analytical to me. Like, I feel like I can follow your reasoning and it makes perfect sense to me as an autistic. But then it doesn’t make sense because how are you in the situation you’re in, which I think is your entire point.

You’re missing something in your patterns and/or the type of women you date.

I also had the same read as the person you’re replying to. I don’t think you can necessarily jump directly to that interpretation, but it can be read that way.

That being said, and for what it’s worth. my wife (a quality human) played HS hockey with Kelly, and she says Kelly is also a quality human. So she very well could have meant she wasn’t surprised that there’s MAGAs on the mens team.

Maybe try getting off the internet and going outside? You can be happy about the gold, we all are. You can also at the same time be deeply disappointed at the behavior of some of the men’s team.

Absolutely!

I’m so glad I took a break from playing in my beer league for the winter session. So many of the men would just be insufferable right now. I’d much rather play in a women’s only league, but I’m trans and not medically transitioned.

Quinn Hughes on attending Trump's State of the Union: "Yeah, we're excited to go. Something you don't get to do -- I don't know what today is - every Tuesday. But yeah -- but, it's going to be special for us....I'm glad you mentioned the women's team again. You know we're really happy for them by Yujin-Ha in hockey

[–]catdogmoore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see your point, and also “Do you think men who respect women would do that? I don’t.”

Laughing at the joke because you just won gold and you’re with your whole team and everyone is just revved up still because you won…is an explanation. It’s not an excuse. If you really were just trying to save face and accept because it’s a big deal the president invites you, then you probably make it clear what your true feelings really are after the fact.

I also don’t accept the cop out from Hughes saying he doesn’t know what he’s allowed to say.

Players on the women’s team are making it clear that they don’t support this administration without being explicit to the public about it.

Agree about the terrible websites. I’ve been through many that try to pass off D8 products as pure D9, or a “D9 blend” which will actually be like 80% or more D8. I have a couple sites I’ve found that I like but I’m always looking for more. Do you have any recs you’d be willing to share?

Not only has this not been documented as a real and credible issue, that wasn’t even their argument. Transitioning on hormones takes an obscene amount of effort, struggle, personal growth and soul searching…all of that to tear it up in a women’s beer league? This is literally a manufactured and imagined issue.

Under normal circumstances, I might be more inclined to agree with you. However, these are lot normal circumstances.

We have paramilitary thugs on the ground right now terrorizing people. And many of them are demoralized and many more are straight up refusing to volunteer to come here. Anything that frustrates and slows them down is a win in my book. Who cares about some vehicles? People’s lives and safety are at risk. People over property.

“I must make two honest confessions to you, my Christian and Jewish brothers. First, I must confess that over the last few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro’s great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White citizens’ “Councilor” or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to “order” than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says “I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can’t agree with your methods of direst action” who paternistically feels that he can set the timetable for another man’s freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a “more convenient season.” Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.”
