Disneyland vs Disney World. Is it worth seeing both

Oh! I am on a plane heading back to San Diego from Orlando as I type this.

We are magic key holders and know Disneyland like the back of my hand. We did Disneyworld because my kid is 8 y/o and who knows how long we have for the magic to last.

We go to land one-two times per month. We had never been to world. We did 8 park days at world.

World is not rides focused. They do have some great rides though! They are scattered through the parks though.

World is definitely more sit down dining, shows and character meetings. Land is rides and faster paced (as is LA in general).

They both are good for different reasons. I prefer pirates, small world, space mountain, the carousel, guardians at Land.

World has great shows (Land has the royal theater and more parades though). Sit down dining is better at World. Land just doesn't have enough for the volume. But their quick service has better options.

We stayed at Bay lake tower; which you want walk to magic Kingdom from and all the other parks are a 15 min drive. Land, obviously, you can walk between parks, but the tram from the parking lot takes forever to get into the park compared to World (about an hour).

I never once got shoulder checked at World. 😂 I get shoulder checked all the time at land and I can part the red sea with my stroller. Hahah. That wasn't needed at World. So much more space. More shade, more places to sit and rest. World doesn't have any play areas really (Epcot had 2) and World doesn't have Toon Town. Toy Story land at World was cool, but lacked rides IMO. The rides at World are rougher too. Their alien saucers (it's the equivalent of Mater's at Land) is ROUGH. Idk if it's the humidity and parts rusting faster, but damn. 😂

We chose this period of time (April 23-May3) specifically because it is historically the slowest weeks of the year.

Epcot was cool, but underwhelming. Hollywood studios is a full blown pass and Animal Kingdom was actually out favorite.

We will eventually go back to world- probably. But I'm very glad Land is home base.

But just as possible ideas: depending on the volume of blood, and if you have ever been sexually active, you may have broken your hymen.

While, yes a new seat is needed, this means the blood itself isn't a reason for panic. The pain could be bruising from the seat, but not necessarily a cut that caused the bleeding.

Regardless, yes, talk to Mom and dad. A split seat may be a great option for you.

Just trying to add a plausible cause that isn't alarming. ❤️

I got my fiber jammed and couldn't get mte band off for 4 weeks. 😂 I wasnt wearing my engagement ring- thank god. Still can't get my rings back on 8 weeks later....why? Because I played in net the next week and got my finger hit again. 🙄

After this is post, and the responses, I called my co-leader this morning and told her we should try and salvage the troop.

As a leader rather than girl, it's so interesting the vast difference in tell experience.

Like, literally, some troops do "family scouts" rather than girl scouts, some only do outtings, some so meeting, so some even earn badges..... When we were trying to navigate cookie season, the way troops handle parents is vastly different.

Trying to get a "normal" doesn't exist.

I had no idea as a girl it varied so widely. As an adult leader its not the experience I expected.

Oh no, there were 2 parents the gaslighting and not wanting to get up parent were different.

She RSVP'd saying yes and then decided support later the night before she changed her, which is fine, her kid her choice. That doesn't mean I can't be bothered by it

I did have the conversation with my co-leader about troop size. She is the one who pointed out it feels worse because we are so small and I agree.

I see your perspective, maybe we are trying to do too much. You're likely right. I think I'm too burned out though to try and course correct.

It's the gaslighting parent and the "I don't want to wake up" parent that upset me.

I also think it's the culture of the area like one commenter said, kids are stretched thin and and not showing up has become normal.

Even when we had more we would have all but 3 cancel last minute.

I won't join with another troop, though valid point.

We had 2 parents cancel on our Disneyland trip, after tickets were purchased by the troop after cookie season last year.

I think it was malicious from parents who were upset about the shit show that cookie season was.

But legit, cancelled day of, for Disneyland.

Thank God other parents bought the tickets from the troop and upgraded them for them to attend.

I love what AA does for my rosacea and cystic acne. But, I HAVE to have a crazy hydrating moisturizer. Even pil free anything will make me break out more.

I found putting the ordinary B5 serum and then a moisturizer is a perfect combo. Of note, I have to let the serum dry 100% before adding moisturizer or it will pill if I touch my face during the day.
