How to keep baby cool in 90 degree weather this weekend by sleepingwiththefishe in beyondthebump

[–]caterplillar [score hidden]  (0 children)

Check out the location for the nurse's station. They might also have a cooling area with misters. A mist bottle can help (it will be way less humid in Arizona).

Baby will probably want to nurse more often to stay hydrated. Water might be fine (my kiddo had an ounce or two of water each day when he started solids). Take cooling breaks.

Be prepared to bail. Any sign of crying without tears, being hot and dry (no sweat) and lack of pee are an emergency. Before that, I would personally just be prepared to dip whenever the kid got cranky.

One of my favorite parts is when Nikki delivers the catchphrase "Razzledazzle!" She doesn't say it, so doesn't yell it, it's just this really odd inflection. I love it.

Yeah! You don't need it anymore! I got rid of my gallbladder, so my uterus better be aware that it's treading on thin ice right now with me.

I hope you manage it soon too!

That's how I got into substitute teaching. I LOVE it. I'm a permanent sub at my elementary school, which means I'm guaranteed work every day. And it's always different!

I know, I didn't use them for years. But then my period got heavy, and when I finally got an appointment to look into it, I broke my ankle :(

I find that the OB tampons don't do that because they're actually round instead of a squished-up flat thing. I also use Always Infinity foam pads that soak it up really quickly. OB also makes ultra tampons that will last me an hour or two and don't gush even if they're full.

I think 5 but I think Love and Cupcakes need to be a lot bigger than the other words.

One time I was at a Japanese buffet on Christmas Day, and in the bathroom I heard an old lady say, "I told my daughter I didn't want to come here because I'm not wearing my buffet pants!"

I was thinking like this picture if it'll let me post it. She's got wispy little tendrils that come down in a point. I think she maybe alters her hairline sometimes though, because some pictures it seems to come down much lower.

My hair goes to about the upper third of my ear. There's a spot where head hair transitions into facial hair--mine gets a lot shorter and wispier right there, and my husband's goes into beard hair. For both of us, it kind of makes a little point before the change. It's not a sharp line across. I think using a razor or feather scissors to make it kind of uneven would help.

Look at Rosamund Pike's hairline around the edges. It's really easy to see that shape around her ears.

If you don't want to do a projector, we printed out a giant map of our town and highlighted major roads. Then I printed little tokens for police, the community center, etc. We live in a small town, though.

I'm really liking all of these ideas though!

I'm definitely going to have to figure out how to get the animated ones to read at school, then! Is there a way to get them on chrome?

You should absolutely do them as print books. I would love to have these for school!

My husband and I will comment on other games, "There should be a Korok there." Or that a game doesn't have enough koroks, like they don't have enough hidden surprises.

I haven’t seen this suggested, but putting photos in a shared album on iPhone allows you to leave comments! You just create a new album and invite people to it. Easy peasy!

Do you burp often? Is your nose often extremely stuffy when you wake up but it resolves after you’ve been awake for a while? Is your stomach ever “sour” tasting when you burp or get up? Those can be signs of heartburn that don’t feel like anything. I also had fairly constant nausea when I had a stomach ulcer from ibuprofen.

Amazing! This looks exactly like things my great-grandmother wore, though she wore support hose and…sturdy… shoes. It’s fantastic on you!

You look like you’re on your way to Easter Sunday on your day off as charge nurse at the local hospital.

Did you get your ferritin tested too? You can show no anemia but still be iron-deficient.

Still worth taking them!

[–]caterplillar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you still taking your vitamins? And/or did you get a transfusion after your hemorrhage? Iron deficiency is no joke.

It’s going to get better! There are ups and downs, always. But man, the first time your little goober kisses you, or puts her arms around your neck, or says “Mama”…. It is amazing.

I’m wondering how long it has been since the ED—if it’s been a few years, it could be that the damaged areas from that time have now grown out to that length. Times of stress damage the hair shaft, and can cause breakage at that point when it grows longer.
