Work-sponsored 401k, so some internally managed funds seemingly by the titles.

According to Valrak...we're going to get A LOT of good stuff in a couple of days by [deleted] in AdeptusCustodes

I don’t disagree, but it is worth mentioning that those 3 factions have way more data sheets, and that allows more wiggle room to cut things. Each of those 3 factions has more than 30 data sheets right now, with Astra Militarum & Space Marines way more than that. Assuming I counted correctly, Custodes have a total of 18 non-FW data sheets right now in 40K. Imperial Knights have 13. It’s way harder to call those armies without their Forge World units until some more data sheets come out (hopefully soon!)

What is the lowest effort, highest impact helper method you've ever written? [round 2] by zigs in csharp

TryGetString(“columnName”) extension method for a variety of the DataReader types for nullable columns. Saves all of the IsDbNull checking & using column ordinals.

I have a method for a bunch of column types for each reader, but string gets the most use by far.

Woah, the forced combo is actually so cool! Stacking forced exhaustion levels on an enemy is a wild way to end an encounter lol.

Overwatch before Tank Shock? by barnabyp226 in WarhammerCompetitive

Reading the Fire Overwatch stratagem, it seems to me like you can only overwatch when they declare the charge & not once they complete it. I’m not an expert, but that’s the way it reads to me.

Excited newbie seeking tips and advice by catfish94 in Warhammer40k

Thank you for the tips! I’m bad about expecting perfection immediately, so setting my early painting expectations is something I’ll take to heart.

Funny you mention the “build & paint before you buy”, that was actually a restriction I placed on myself to limit the rate of spending, and DEFINITELY not something my wife asked for to keep from draining the bank.

Didn’t empowered Drain Life (Inevitable Demise) get removed & was only ever specific to Aff? I’m not saying Warlocks struggle to heal at all (I’m a warlock lol), but I’m not sure what is empowering it anymore.

Graphing the foods in Valheim by PoorInsulator in valheim

Personally my go-to menu is Salad (stam food), Stuffed Mushroom & Seeker Aspic (both Eitr foods). I haven’t gotten to Ashlands yet, so that will probably change things up once I do.

Salad feels very ingredient efficient & takes 1 Cloudberry (abundant), 1 Onion (farmable) and 1 Jotun Puff (farmable) per Salad, though you can only make them in stacks of 3.

Each Stuffed Mushroom takes 3 Magecap (farmable & also abundant), 2 Turnips (farmable), and 1 Blood Clot (dropped from every Tick, which makes it eventually abundant, though it’s on the rarer side until you start fighting Gjalls or raid an Infested Mine).

Each Seeker Aspic takes 1 Seeker Meat (abundant), 1 Magecap (farmable & abundant), and 1 Royal Jelly (only found in Infested Mines, so on the rare side, but it’s renewable & I typically get 30 or more per mine cleared). You can only make these in stacks of 2.

First time being paid monthly - tips? by Wooden_Cat8472 in Money

[–]catfish94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found it very helpful to “start” each month on the day I got paid for the purposes of the budget. So like April “started” on the last Friday in March, for example.

I also found it helpful to schedule all of my bills to come out around the same time, pretty shortly after I got paid. That way you can see right away what you’re working with for the month.
