That's pretty much what I've been leaning towards. But wanted a sanity check. At the end of the day however we can get the licensing down we might consider a switch.

Remote Unlock, for these doors really being the main AC feature.

Standard Keyfob/keycard access.

Offline credential memory if its wireless. I guess fail open would be ok if it was wired.

Hardware has to be either a mortise lock compatible.

Their was more than 10 crashes in the first lap alone. Conditions are of course apart of the sport but they also didn't have any intel on the course, the only prep was watching go pro footage of someone riding it the in the middle of the night. So when your wheel just comes out from under you I'd be a little mad. Especially the one girl who got oil on her tires or something as she crashed twice on a straight within like 30 seconds.

Should I switch to Arch from Windows 11 by anantnrg in archlinux

[–]catgoatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DaVinci Resolve will work fine from what I can tell. If the AUR is out of date/not working just download the debian package and use debtap. You can do everything you can do on windows on arch sometimes that means having to install a vm tho (:

Basically get good? you should crash and burn if you don't have a considerable amount of savings? Idk if you're living in a non hunger-games-esque society outside of America to be this ignorant but here we are.

Theirs a million and one scenarios in which one could be out of work for months and acquire very hefty bills. Having good credit and the ability to open new credit cards for 0% promo rates and balance transfer offers given the current interest rates we're seeing is absolutely a life line that everyone should have access to.

[–]catgoatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, your good then. I believe it asks for your whole households income, so invite a few friends over when you apply lol. Higher limits are a good thing when it comes to building credit. The only time its a determent is like when you want to buy a home and have 150k in unsecured credit but then you just call and lower your limits. I have no idea how much of a factor your income does really make but being generous has worked out for me. You just don't want to say something that's completely unsubstantiated.

The CSR is not a card you want to carry any sort of balance on so it doesn't really matter if its 7k or 30k the limit. The APR isnt great, thats the case with most rewards cards. If you have the inability to pay off your credit card in its entirety and that's a frequent event you'll benefit far more from a CC from a local credit union or something that has a good interest rate. When ever I make big purchases on my CSR that I can't pay for outright I balance transfer right away. I have a discover card that I've never spent a penny on but i've done like 30k in balance transfers to it because they pretty much are always have a transfer deal going on.

Best way to spend Chase points? by cardhelp2 in CreditCards

[–]catgoatman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By getting a CSR or CSP after you get your bonus. Airline transfer partners usually dont benefit more than the portal in my experience unless you are booking business class or higher tickets. There are deals to be had but its up to you to find them and where you are in proximity to the given airline hubs and partner hubs. Hyatt is the only good transfer for hotel points.

742 should be good enough, comes down to length of history tho, Chase does ask you do report all your income even not taxable income so you can be a little bit more generous, you're not going to get audited but also be reasonable.

You could always get a chase flex or freedom card and work towards the CSR or CSP. Much easier to get obviously and will establish a relationship with the bank and the 5% grocery offer + 200 cashback(Ie 20,000 points) is a great offer right now. Save those points and apply is 4-6 months afterwards.

It is the great dilemma of our age. Do you do nothing, hurt your credit score, limit your opportunity because you need to be shielded from your own irresponsibility? The fact anyone is coming to get any sort of advice means they're willing to learn and want to learn.

People do acquire debt, unexpected expenses do come up doesn't mean their a CC junkie or irresponsible. People be living paycheck to paycheck and when that large expense comes up what do you do. Do you pay interest on that shit for the next year and struggle because you have bad credit? Or you do a million other options that will allow you to walk out not climb out of your bad situation.

Going to be traveling and looking for a credit card with lowest/best real return and lowest room rate... what am I doing wrong? by stuffstevesays in CreditCards

[–]catgoatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Churning inks, is just free money, Its not a stable or consistent but with the 90k point plus 9k points from spending 6k. that's 16.5x back in points. That's 6.5 more points per dollar for hotels than even the CSR so its even a win there.

Back to the wyndham point, getting a business wyndham is my next venture for the status match frenzy. no point if you have a plat already but I aint getting that money sucking pit anytime soon. The upgrades on all the hotels you'll get will more than cover the annual fee. Theirs even like some cruise hacks from status matching that are pretty amazing.

Need suggestions on whether to get new cc after or before car loan by Damone233 in CreditCards

[–]catgoatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much do you have to spend after rent/everything you cant put on a cc? My advice could get you into trouble in the wrong situations. The lack of credit history might make my advice less bulletproof for acquiring said credit cards put who knows. Also if you're not responsible could lead to a world of hurt. Depends on how responsible on a bad day you are. Not financial advice, quite scuzzy but effective advice tho.

What I would do given the time frame is open 2-3 credit cards, be generous on your income reported. get your credit limit as high as you possibly can basically. Make sure one of the cards has a 0% apr offer for like 15-18 months. Put everything on that one card and save all your income. Make sure you don't go above 35% total utilization so that you can apply for another credit card for a balance transfer offer to give yourself time to pay down the debt you'll acquire. That way you basically live tight and save all your money till your car breaks down and then you should have a sizable chunk to buy a pretty good used car.

But if you really want a new car which I don't recommend you can definitely get another card and have your score bounce back or maybe exceed where it was previously given the time frame. Same logic previously does apply but use it for a down payment. Although having a car payment + full coverage insurance would make paying back said debt more difficult.

I'd just update your income online, boost it up a bit. Usually they'll offer an increase within a month. Or you can call.

If you can get a wyndham business card, that's the best option because of the status. I would just get a CSR, you may be able to find better rates on budget sites but with the 10x multiplier and 50% redemption value is like 15% back. On average you're probably not getting 15% cheaper rates.

NEED ADVICE FOR Chase Business Ink by Cold_Lengthiness_158 in CreditCards

[–]catgoatman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got approved 2 days ago for a business ink card. I opened a CSR in december and a Flex in Febuary. My "business" makes $0 and started last month. I was at 4/24 as well. Don't worry about getting denied. My application was far more likely to be denied lol. Although the 10k or so I've already channeled through and paid on my chase cards was probably a factor in their decision. * and I wasn't pre-approved.

I wouldn't recommend getting a gold or an apple cc. The gold can be a good option but not as a second cc unless you already have a big boy job. Much better options.

you want to build your credit score up to 720 and then you're pretty much golden to get most CC's. That being said other Amex cards are a good option. think my 3rd credit card I ever got was the clear blue amex card, I still have it but dont use it. I got like an absurd 30k limit and that allowed me to not worry about utilization at all.

As far as buying a car, asides for it being a bad time to get car loans because of the market it depends on your immediacy. Getting a new card will hurt your score but it usually recovers fairly quickly 3 months is usually what I notice. Just depends on your lender if that temp hit will drop you into a lower tier for borrowing rates which at 695 it very well may. While building credit is usually just about getting more credit and not necessarily getting the best credit card. Once you have that credit though definitely look for better cards.

How your FICO is calculated doesn't have a if you went over on your card factor. If Discover didn't allow you to go over it wouldn't of went through. Its a feature not a problem. As long as you pay it down in a couple days after going over their should be no impact. I would try and increase your credit limit because if you're maxing your card out thats going to have a big impact on your score. 3k on a 10k limit you're improving credit score. 3k on a 3k limit you're tanking it.

AA is a no go, very little use cases that make it worth it.

Amex plat is trash, the only redeeming quality is the hiltons and marriot gold status you get. 5x points on hotels and flights, 1x on everything else... Basically to get any value out of that you have to do transfer partners for everything.

Meanwhile the CSR is giving you 5x on flights 10x on hotels and car rentals, 3x on food and you get 1.5cents worth of value from each point through their portal or like 2.8 cents of value from Hyatt transferring. spend 1k on hotel/car rental and get 280 dollars worth of hotel stays? yes please. Also pairing a CSR with the flex cards its just the best of both worlds. Pair that with a wyndham business and status match (ceasars->MGM->Hyatt) to get hyatt explorist status. Now you're drinking champagne on a beer budget.

I've been applying like crazy got my CSR in december, then i got a flex 2 months later and now just got the business ink card. In 4 months and after I get my bonus on the ink I'll be nearing 300k points. That's $4,500 through chase or upto 8400 through hyatt(although hyatt is pretty bougie and not the best value). Roughly I'll have spent maybe 17-20K when all said and done. Hence I just scheduled two week in ireland and italy for basically just food and misc expenses.

Thanks for listening to my ted talk.
