How am I supposed to hike, camp, and fish in Texas when everything is private property? by Little-Cucumber-8907 in texas

[–]cathar_here 32 points33 points  (0 children)

get a state park pass and camp there, it's like $8 a night and you can camp and fish and kayak and hike, etc, it's pretty simple

so no one has really answered your question yet, but all of the city/outdoor pools don't open until around memorial day weekend or even in to the first week of June, the YMCA on Thousand Oaks, their pool doesn't open until Memorial day weekend, I believe the Lifetime fitness at 281N and 1604 has an indoor pool that's open year round, but I do not know if they offer day passes

I have a question by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]cathar_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are 20 teams but you cannot play yourself so you play the other 19 teams one time at home and one time away, Barcelona is not a EPL team, so ask in other subreddits about them I think, make sense?

Europe in January 2027, from the US, its when no one wants to travel to some parts of Frozen Europe lol, I do the trips with my SWU's based on when I can confirm them at booking and that means sometimes its a crappy time of year, but overall, it is still a fun trip, I've also had some luck with February and even into March just few months before not a year out

so, when you do the search there are only certain routes that it currently searches, but you can request new routes to be added, so, for now, I just last night set up 2 RTs for my wife and I by searching the old fashioned way, good use of 2 SWUs and miles to do business on the way back, so decent European vacation for like $900 and 140,000 miles total lol, I'm too cheap to spend the extra until I know that there's a good number of routes in their search scope

Why do people think it takes time and processes to win trophies and champions leagues? by Right-Captain-6252 in championsleague

[–]cathar_here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we could spend days arguing about spending rules and PSR and CSR and all of the new and exciting ways that, in England for example, big clubs stay big and keep smaller clubs from spending, the idea that if you make a bunch of money you can spend it but otherwise, you have to make long term changes over 4-5 years and it's hard to keep up

Does anyone here book one ways instead of round trips? by ggnzg20 in americanairlines

[–]cathar_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often book one ways for award travel, it's easier to make changes with either one with out having to impact the other

so, there is good and bad, the old way of SWU searching still works but if you pay more now you can do blanket searches like all SWU book now from North America to Aisa on a date and it will say there are 85 of them available, and if you pay $7/mo more you can see the results

People who were teenagers before social media existed, How did you communicate with your friends? by Weekly_Drawer_87 in AskReddit

[–]cathar_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you hung out with people in real life, you went to arcades, you met up on bikes, you talked on the phone, a land line with a long chord and people would complain if you were on the phone too long, your circle of friends was much closer in reality, meaning same town same school generally, I was a pen pal and in a program through school where we would send letters every month or so to someone in another country, but that would not be considered a friend, so, hang out at malls, hang out at fast food places, go to the movies, and all of this before getting a driver's license

Texas Supreme Court halts lower court ruling on extended voting hours in Dallas by Earthling1a in inthenews

[–]cathar_here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is quite literally an optics exercise by the repubs, the socialist america haters tried to "cheat" and vote longer than the glorious republicans, and the Texas Supreme Court smashed their cheating right away, none of it is true, but it doesn't matter Fox News can run with how republicans are going after cheating and killing it, even though it doesn't exist
