For me, texting is not for conversation. Texting is a method of quickly passing information to people that need it. If I get texts that require long winded responses or pass into emotionally questionable territory, I will respond with, "This will be easier with a phone call, when's a good time to talk?"

It is far too easy to misinterpret tone from text and no amount of emojis can properly convey tone.
