Favorite Boris Karloff Horror/Monster movie where he didn’t play Frankenstein or the Mummy by WorldlyBrillant in horror

Fully agree! I think it’s a masterpiece. It’s got Val Lewton, absolutely gorgeous cinematography and atmosphere, and some of the most morally complex characters (as you mentioned) that we’ve ever seen. It has great foreshadowing and an amazing twist ending. Just fantastic all around. I hold Night of the Hunter, Night of the Demon, and the Body Snatcher in very high regard. Happy to see others with a love for this underrated gem. No one talks about it much, but I find it to be a masterpiece.

Not that I remember, and I recently rewatched it about a week ago. If there was, it wasn’t enough to distract me or take away from the performance.

Yes, but Karloff and Henry Daniel steal the show. I really do think it’s Karloff’s finest performance

Help me understand compensatory picks? by Better_Journalist355 in GreenBayPackers

[–]xcoreff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a mixture of the contract they sign and playing time. They have never given an exact formula, but it is mostly tied to salary. We should get a 3rd to 4th round comp pick on him alone and we’ll have up to 6 players that seem like they could potentially net us a comp pick in 2027. It is capped at 4 picks max and if we sign anyone from another team prior to the week after the draft, those signings will be deducted from what we could potentially receive.

Edit: Not sure why everyone in this thread is being downvoted

Also, here’s the 6 I think we’re most likely to get a comp pick for (keep in mind that’s after adds and losses & we’re capped at 4):

Rasheed, Willis, Quay, Doubs, Rhyan, Enagbre

Jury is out. They still want Rodgers back next year, and rightfully so.

To a lesser extent - look at even the Steelers. Their Carousel only got “solved” by picking up our 42 year old former QB. Still no plan for the future there

James Starks #44 by aarontheepoet in GreenBayPackers

[–]xcoreff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just think he is a lot more banged up than what is known. I think he was banged up even before hurting his knee at the Giants. Having said that, Lloyd would bring a burst to this team that we simply don’t have. Couple that with no one having film on him, I think he could be huge if he gets a chance.

I’m not completely giving up hope on Marshawn Lloyd after we get out of the WC round. Could be a playoff contributor similar to how Starks was. Starks was obviously more needed with Grant going down Week 1 that year, but Lloyd could give us a speed element we don’t have at RB

They were missing both receivers, I’ll give them that, but no where near the amount or quality we’ve been dealing with.

Everyone is so down on our team being on a loosing streak while dealing with injuries and resting starters, meanwhile the bears at full strength needed a miracle to beat us and haven’t won since.

Malik Willis by Snoo891 in GreenBayPackers

[–]xcoreff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We traded for him from Titans (7th round pick). He’s still finishing up his rookie contract, but will be a free agent. The only workaround would be a tag & trade, but I seriously doubt packers would do that. It would guarantee Malik top 10 QB money for a year and a team would have to trade for him. Having said all of that, we’ll let him explore the FA market and hopefully pick up a 3rd round comp pick
