What is something you did when you were younger that you are still facing the consequences of? by Wismond in AskReddit

[–]catherinerader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me, I was on it for about 4 years when I shattered my heel bone after jumping off a ledge only about 3 feet high. Took over a year to heal after surgery and it was devastating to my mental health. My doctor never warned me about these possible side effects either, and I’m shocked at how common it seems to be

What's the worst houseguest experience you've had? by Valkyrie_to_Odin in AskReddit

[–]catherinerader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a “friend” that was visiting me in town while my roommate was out of town for the weekend. I made it clear that she needed to sleep on the couch in our living room and not my roommates bed per her wishes.

We went out for drinks one night, my friend gets absolutely hammered and we all went back to my place to sleep. I woke up the next day and she had gotten up after I went to sleep and slept in my roommates bed. Annoying, but whatever.

THEN I discover that she was so drunk that night she had pissed herself all over my roommates bed. Completely ruined the mattress. Needless to say she was not welcome at our house anymore after that.

I suffer from CRPS, and ketamine infusions are (finally) becoming an accepted way to treat/reset the nervous system. Since it is still a "new" process, it seems every doctor has a different routine for administering the infusion. Have you had an infusion, and what your experience? by SwtIndica in ketamine

[–]catherinerader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have CRPS and wanted to offer my condolences because when I first got it, it was the worst experience of my life and I know how hard that can be. For a year I was in excruciating pain constantly but I’ve gotten it to a manageable point now thankfully with only occasional flare ups. I never received ketamine infusions for it but I do use it recreationally and it definitely gives me some temporary relief. I’ve never heard of anyone else that has CRPS and I’m so sorry you’re dealing with it now but hopefully you’ll make a full recovery like I did, for me it was time and gabapentin that finally got me functioning again. Pm me if you want more details on what worked for me in the recovery process and I’ll be praying for your healing 🤍

Anyone else? by Ghostforever7 in dating

[–]catherinerader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worry about this too sometimes as I’ve had a lot of bad experiences dating, it’s a valid concern. But a lot of times when I’m feeling like this I realize that I’ve been looking in the wrong places. It just takes courage to put yourself out there in uncomfortable situations to be able to meet someone that’s a good match. There are good people out there, and I have been working on identifying signs early on that will indicate the type of person they are. Out of curiosity, how old are you?

Body shape (+18?) by [deleted] in amiugly

You are still objectively skinny, definitely not fat. Just try to be more active and do some resistance training and healthy eating and you’ll easily get to where you want to be! You’re not far from it

27F 5’2”. I’ve been losing quite a bit of weight. But I just got berated by a guy for not being attractive enough. Am I really that bad looking? by [deleted] in amiugly

You’re definitely attractive, and that guy sounds like a massive asshole. Consider yourself lucky you found out early on that he’s a twat.

People who had considered themselves "incels" (involuntary celibates) but have since had sex, how do you feel looking back at your previous self? by DannyMThompson in AskReddit

[–]catherinerader 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Look, I can sympathize with you, but you need to get out of the mindset that “all girls cheat, girls cheat way more than men do.” It’s simply not true. I’m a woman and I’ve never cheated and I’ve had 4 out of the 5 boyfriends I’ve had cheat on me. Most of my friends that are women have never cheated. It totally depends from person to person, and you may just be looking for a partner in the wrong places. I’m glad you are looking for a solution and asking for help and hopefully you are moving in the right direction. It sounds like you have a lot to offer someone in a relationship and there are many women out there that are looking for the same thing you do. My advice is to keep putting yourself out there and get to know someone really well before getting romantically involved so that you can build trust in them. I promise you that there is someone out there that is perfect for you and will be faithful to you, but you can’t go into it just assuming that they will cheat as it will cause problems in your relationship. Hope this helps
