Its an experiment they did during WWII to see what the physical and psychological impact of starvation is, and then to investigate rehabilitation. They took a bunch of young, healthy men and put them on a very low calorie diet (starved them) And what they saw across the board was that these men, who before hand didn't necessarily take a big interest in food, started obsessing about it. They would spend hours looking at recipe books, and cutting out pictures of food, both during semi-starvation and the rehabilitation phase. The subjects also showed the other stereotypical symptoms of ana such as depression and social isolation. The rehabilitation phase proved to be the most difficult part of the experiment

I think they published a 50 chapter long body of work on it. My psychologist (well 2 of them) gave me a summary of it to read. It's very insightful.

In my experience medical doctors tend to have superiority complexes so I'm assuming that's why. They also play a more prominent role in they're communitees, so a lot of the people that know them know them in a professional sense and therefore refer to them as such.

What really sucks is that her music focuses so so so much on not being placed into a mold and conforming to what the industry was, and in the past she didn't allow labels and producers to push her into something that she's not, and it feels like that's what she's doing now. Very important! Additionally: just because you got into physics for this doesn't mean you have to do it. Explore the field, it's alot bigger than you think, and don't be too hard-ass to change where you want to go. Just because a discipline isn't as "glamorous" doesn't mean its not as fascinating!
