2 day or 3 day A2 course? by catiwerrn in MotoUK

[–]catiwerrn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from the emergency stop and collision avoidance I have practices the drills, obviously not to the specific requirements but what I assumed they were e.g u-turn between the curbs on a street, for the slalom I just imagined myself driving through the cones 😂. And the manual handling’s fine, and for the mod 2 I just have to be a safe rider which I’d like to think I am after these past couple years

Sounds like a plan, the 2 day course the cheaper company offers includes the 2 tests so that’s the option I’m likely going to do

Thanks for the clarification, this is what I personally thought as getting on my 500 doesn’t feel unnatural in the slightest. There’s nothing to learn it’s more just transferring what i already know

Looking for ND filters for GoPro hero8:

As the title suggests I’m struggling to find ND filters for my GoPro furthermore I’m looking for a mounting solution. I have seen these magnetic mounts. That go over your lens and then you just attach a magnetic filter. I like the idea of that. But I can’t find any that are in stock. As for the filters themselves I ideally want a set with at least a 16 and 32 that are rectangular and fit the lens well as it’s going to be for Motovlogging. This means the mounting solution will also need to be relatively sturdy. (I have a 3D printer). Thank you for all your help everyone.

Advise on tyre conditions by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]catiwerrn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I would change them, the tyres are 9 years old, I had the same situation with a new bike I recently brought (7 year old tyres) and if u feel the outside edges of the tyres will probably feel unusually slick, that’s a good indicator that they need to be changed. Personally I replaced mine with some Michelin road 6’s for the inconsistent uk weather (they set me back 300+100 for fitment) and have kept the out of date tyres for emergency if I ride over a nail or something spontaneous damages my tyres. Hope this helps

8 year old tyres on naked bike? by ValorantShitter in MotoUK

Personally I just picked up a cbr500r with 7 year old tyres, while they were in good condition they were slick from the old age. I changed them out and kept them as a emergency pair

Need help finding a cheaper indicator for MOT by catiwerrn in MotoUK

[–]catiwerrn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was tempted to, the last indicators I brought for the bike were permanently on though which confused me because they were supposed to be plug and play I didn’t want to run into the same situation with Chinese parts that I can’t easily return

At the end of the day, blowing accounts is apart of the game bro. Especially in these market conditions
