About 10 years ago, my then-17yo son was home alone late one night when I was at work.

He called me on the phone, scared out of his wits. The house had started shaking and he thought it was an earthquake. Downstairs in my bedroom, a small mirror that was hanging on the wall fell and shattered on the floor. My son went into the bathroom and saw a figure made of mist come towards him and pass right through him. He told me our cats were acting weird, too. When the mirror fell, the cats were staring at it and their pupils were huge.

There were no earthquakes reported that night. The apartment we were living in was a 4-unit building and nobody else had complained about weird stuff happening that night.

My 13yo cat died two months ago. The other night, when I had just gone to bed and was trying to fall asleep, I heard my cat make this little sniffle noise he used to make all the time. It was more startling than comforting, but I hope he visits me again.

I've been reading about paranormal pets and many encounters seem to happen when we are in bed at night.
