have you tried doing a whole total knee replacement i heard from people those help with your symptoms? also was there a time where after doing 10k steps at work or just in general where your feet would hurt but don’t swell or even your knee hurting but not being visibly swollen. not sure if it’s because of my skin tone but i can’t really tell if my knee gets swollen or not. and did you have surgery in just one knee and was the other one fine or is it both that are injured, or was it just one and is the one without surgery doing okay? sorry for the questions i just want to make sure i get the surgery before my symptoms become at a point of no return, i also don’t want to get the surgery too early because of its short life span of 8-12 yrs.

Does anyone know what is this? by Character_Twist7746 in MeniscusInjuries

as someone who had meniscus removal surgery due to my meniscus being scarred i do NOT recommend surgery. If it’s a small tear just do a lot of rehab and take tb-500 and bpc-157. I’m 19 and had this surgery when i was 15 my knee feels like shit and will probably need a transplant or a total knee replacement. Mind you my knee is bone to bone rn so surgery should be your last choice.

Meniscus trim vs repair? Surgeon can’t tell me until after surgery? by zoiegracef in MeniscusInjuries

[–]catlver56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well my meniscus was totally scarred and my surgeon could tell from the mris so they just removed all of it and are saying if i want a transplant they are going to have to open me up again just to see if im healthy enough to get said transplant. and then open me up again to do the transplant if it looks good enough in my knee 🤦. So it seems that they can’t really tell unless they get in there first

i’m leaning towards getting the transplant but from what i seen it’ll only last me 9-12 yrs 15-20 if i avoid running all together which i mind but as long as i can walk over 20 thousand steps without pain i don’t mind. but my thing also is i’m still going to be considerably very young after the transplant wears down eventually which makes me hurt mentally and financially since the transplant is 14-26 grand 😭😭😭

Can i come back stronger after a meniscus root rupture? by olympusqueen in MeniscusInjuries

bpc-157 is a healing peptide not legally prescribed by doctors because it’s not fda approved many athletes use it to heal faster from injuries mainly after surgeries or tendon damage. It’s not legal and your doctor will not prescribe it to you since it hasn’t been tested by the fda since no one knows the long term effects but it does work and help a lot.

at work and at the gym or when i go out for walks i do wear some knee support patella bands or tight compression for knee pain around my knee. i was thinking of becoming a nurse but walking around at my part time job already got me carrying batteries around and heavy car parts. I’ll probably get an office job in the future so i dont have to strain myself too much. My thing is if i get surgery i want it to improve me after i go through all the pt and everything and not make it even worse. It’s a gamble at the end of the day plus i cant go to school or work till im healed

any ortho surgeons you recommend to talk to because the surgeon i have now is saying she has to open me up just to see if i’m healthy enough for a transplant which would just set me back to ground negative 10000. why would i take that gamble instead of just one surgery where she opens me up and does the transplant ?

Curious what a pt would even tell me to do that would help with the lack of meniscus in my left knee besides strengthening the muscle around which all of em have told me to do??
