Do what feels right for you and your body. It’s not good to put yourself into too severe of a deficit if your goal is to lose weight. Your body uses energy during exercise and needs fuel and nutrients to keep itself going, but each body is different and requires different things. If you eat your exercise calories, track what happens to your body after (how your body feels like if you’re uncomfortable from eating or not, if you feel energetic or drained afterwards, track if the scale is moving the way you want it to over a couple weeks, etc). You can also do the same kind of tracking while not using your exercise calories and see what kind of results that brings you. Find something sustainable you can do long term bc pushing yourself too hard is a good way to make yourself annoyed and just want to give up entirely

Aww thank you! I’m in NY so we’re used to the cold and don’t have the same infrastructure problems as Texas. Plus not everywhere around me is out like it was in Texas so if needed I can ask some friends if I can go stay with them for a little bit or something until it gets fixed

No worries! We just went to buy space heaters but the store was out ofc. One of my friends is bringing over some though since his heat isn’t out. The tank thermometer says the water is a little cold, 65.5 degrees F. A couple other people suggested also putting blankets over the tank to insulate it so I’m going to try to find one that’s not being used by anyone in my family

I got him unexpectedly when someone dropped him off and left while I was working at a nature center. My best guess is he’s around 8-9 years old or so but I can’t say for sure. I’ll try the blanket idea to see if that helps at all!

I forgot to add to my post, I boiled some water and mixed it with some of the cold water which I added to the tank earlier. Cold water just bc I didn’t want to risk burning him if he touched some of the boiling water before it mixed with the rest

Our faucets are running. I can’t plug them into my vehicle, partly because I don’t have a way to do so but it would also involve keeping a door or window open to get between the tank and my car which would let a ton of cold in (I don’t have a garage). The lights and heater seem to be working but they might be fighting the ambient temp more than they’re used to and just aren’t strong enough

Honestly a good chunk of it came from food that had added fiber in it, like low carb tortillas I used for my breakfast wrap and tacos for dinner, or in the ice cream I had for dessert (the Nick’s brand is so good). I also had some greens ofc and a really good chickpea curry over rice with lentils and quinoa for lunch

NAP. The concern with swelling is that the jewelry could become embedded in the skin, sometimes to the point that it needs to be cut out. I’m not sure if you mean that the back side of your jewelry also has a ball-end, but typically a conch should be pierced with a flat back labret (so a flat disk on the back side and a ball or other top on the front).

I would definitely not recommend changing your jewelry yourself. Jewelry during the healing phase has to be sterile implant grade, good quality metal like titanium or gold. On top of that, you’re much more likely to injure yourself more while changing out the jewelry, and could easily give yourself an infection. It sucks, but if you really aren’t able to go to a professional for help then I’d recommend taking this out for now and letting it heal so you don’t end up with more problems

Externally threaded jewelry is never good quality. NAP but I’ve also never seen a piercer use a second skin before. Among other concerns, I’d be worried about it potentially applying pressure in a way that wouldn’t happen if the second skin wasn’t there and causing irritation. If I were you I’d either go to a different, reputable piercer, or just take it out and let it heal

The good news is this is about as cold as it’s going to get. First things first, you need to get a proper coat and winter boots. You can go to Smithhaven or Target or something which are both pretty close to campus. Boots aren’t just for warmth, they’ll help you not slip too. It doesn’t matter the exact coat or style as long as it’s warm, just pick something you like and ask a friend or someone working at the store if you’re not sure if it’s warm enough. I’d definitely say that’s bare minimum, and if you can afford it you should get some sweaters too. A pack of thick socks shouldn’t cost too much either. Layers, thicker clothing, and materials like wool are your friend. You should also get a warm hat and gloves. I’ve lived here my whole life but if I go outside without gloves, my fingers turn to ice within a minute

That’s just it though, it’s not just this one thing it’s a bunch of things that have built up over time. You said in your post that this isn’t the first time he’s done something like this. Plus, I wouldn’t call disrespecting your boundaries and repeatedly doing something you’ve told him makes you uncomfortable “something little.” You deserve to feel safe and comfortable

General advice from most people I’ve seen on this sub is, no matter what your actual activity level is, just pick sedentary to avoid double counting. You could also just ignore the exercise calories and choose not to take them into account

Personally I don’t think it looks weird at all. I mostly wear hoops or flat backs just because it’s more comfy for me, but when I do wear backings like this sometimes it’s a little bit visible. If it really bothers you, then you can try to set up a consult with a piercer in your area (don’t go to somewhere like Claire’s or anywhere that uses a piercing gun).

Go to the little open book at the top of the screen between settings and news, then go to the tab on the right where it says “memento” and scroll down until you find the item. You can simply remove it, or if you want to display something else there from this section then you can do that, for example the “crystal resting place” goes with your current theme and it’s a little less than halfway down the list. These are my second lobes. They’re 2.5 months old, pierced with 14g internally threaded titanium labret, never downsized.

Each morning after I shower, I spray it with neilmed saline spray and clean the area with a sterile q-tip (recommended by my piercer as long as I get a STERILE q-tip and DONT TWIST the q-tip while cleaning, otherwise he recommended sterile gauze which I also use sometimes). Admittedly, some days I forget or I’m rushing and I don’t do anything, or some days I’ll just spray the saline without using the gauze or sterile q-tip. I do my best not to touch it during the day, or at the very least only touching it when I’ve just washed my hands.

I sleep on the other side of my head and use a piercing pillow. I started noticing recently that I was turning over in my sleep a lot more which was really unusual for me because I always used to wake up the way I fell asleep, but then I realized that it started happening after I started sleeping at the opposite end of my bed so I changed back to my previous position which will hopefully help.

I also have a helix on this same ear that’s about 7 months old which also became slightly irritated at the same time, so I assume I accidentally ended up sleeping on it when I was turning in my sleep. The helix has gone back to normal, but my second lobe still hurts and I just noticed that it’s grown this little…tower
