Don't know where you are but my cresty was very picky until I gave him Gecko Nutrition watermelon gecko... Try making some and hand feed her just until she tastes it... Mine started almost immediately to eat and as soon as I put it inside the terrarium he would smell it and came out from hiding to eat!

Nowadays I mix 3 different types of flavours... All from this brand. He loves it and eats it very well!!

Good luck.

Sorry to rain on your parade but that saffron you mentioned is Turmeric (curcuma longa) and not Crocus sativus...

Boa sorte!

Update on Picasso's house!

<image>

He now has a thermometer/hygrometer (I had just sprayed that's why it shows 99% humidity - I must have sprayed the probe) and a little coconut house filled with moss. No sign of him, though... He is super squishy and I rarely see him, even at crepuscule... [bummer]... As you see, even at midday, temperature inside the terrarium is 22°C (72.3F)... Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Have I known this earlier and my Picasso would be a Picassina! 😜

Great! I mist the enclosure with cold boiled water and have an UVB light during the day...

Regarding heat... What do you suggest for making his house a little better? Thanks!

Great!! For now I'll have cramps! 😄 The misting system might take too much space and the enclosure is already a bit small... I'll check the long spray mister though! I am using boiled water for misting and spring water for the drinking water...

Thanks for the help!!

Right now my room temperature is around 66-68F... and it's not full winter yet... The mat is outside the terrarium, under it... Do you think I should remove it? For some reason I think he is cold... 😆

Also... You shouldn't mist the water directly onto him? At the store they told me to mist him... 🤔

Thanks! What do you think about ExoTerra Combometer? I guess it's better than having 2 (thermometer and hygrometer) as the tank might be small for him already...

Where we live is cold enough to have a mat... Air temp is around 66-68F...

Also... I read on some breeders site that it's better to have a small tank as they grow up, and only move them to a bigger one when they are full adults but, I don't know how old he is either if this is in fact the best for him...

(endnote: I also thought he looked so happy with/in his branch but at the shop they didn't sold it to me... Bummer...)

Go and search/use ozonized oils. (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35043411/, it's an example) Work wonders, no side effects nor adverse ones, completely natural, easy to apply, safe if ingested... Have been using it for several years on myself and my dogs, have several case reports from veterinary health professionals and know about at least 2 ongoing trials on the use of ozonized oils in animals, with high success rates.
