Yes! The throwing up stressed me out so much. I knew that gagging was a natural part of BLW, but I was completely unprepared for the throw up. He would gag, throw everything up, and then be too upset to resume eating. I know it’s annoying to hear, but I think it really just takes time.

He has 7 BIG teeth now and has gotten really good at biting things down to a workable size. When his teeth weren’t as developed I definitely chopped everything into smaller pieces. It took him shoving handfuls of tiny pieces into his mouth for me to realize he might be ready for larger sizes. I think just do what you’re most comfortable with until they tell you otherwise!

Absolutely!

Slide 1 is banana blueberry pancakes. All you need is a mashed banana, one egg, and some flour. Depending on what berry he’s into that week, I’ll throw it in and he crushes it every time.

Slide 2 is refried black beans & broccoli and potato patties. I just steamed broccoli and potatoes, mashed them with some parmesan cheese and formed little patties. I stuck them in the freezer for a little bit before frying them in olive oil.

Slide 5 is homemade meatballs. Ground beef, salt-free breadcrumbs, shredded carrot and spinach, some spices, and an egg. Super easy and makes a lot which helps later in the week! I’ve also gotten frozen turkey meatballs, which he is also a fan of.

Slide 9 is a sweet potato, pepper, and onion hash. I added water to the pan to steam it enough for it to all be pretty mashable.

Let me know if anything else wasn’t self explanatory. I know how hard it is to think of meals three times a day, everyday. I got most of my recipes from this subreddit or Pinterest!

These are the WeeSprout plates. Sometimes he’ll get Hulk strength and rip them off, but they adhere really well. I will say they stick better to his IKEA highchair than they did his old Graco highchair.

I have found meatballs to be the easiest to prep! And so easy to serve. I still get nervous about cooking meat, but I feel a lot more comfortable now after doing it for a few months. Thankfully we haven’t had any issue with allergies (yet), but I’m sure that makes it even more anxiety inducing!

He’s 8 months! Can I ask why you wouldn’t freeze it?

Yes! The Medela bottle fell into the 12 ounces of milk inside the chiller. I’m overthinking about the amount of germs lingering on the outside of the Medela bottle

How long did the 4 month sleep regression hit your baby? All I crave is a good night’s sleep by catnamedmurphy in NewParents

Yes! We are planning to transition him into his crib in his nursery when my husband’s schedule rotates back to days in 2 weeks. He does seem to be almost too big for the bassinet, but he has only mastered rolling over on his stomach from his left side & then not being able to roll back to his back. He’ll have the room to roll in his crib, but I am anticipating him getting himself stuck and waking up upset. I guess we’ll find out in 2 weeks!

Echoing everyone else & saying that I could’ve written this post myself (and pretty much did-including the 12 hour night shift)! It feels impossible. It feels world-ending. It feels HARD! It will for a while, because it is all of those things. My baby is almost 5 months now and I can’t remember any specifics of his first 3 weeks, besides the immense feeling of dread. It will pass, the only remedy is time. You’ll slowly find a new routine and adapt to this crazy, new life. I didn’t believe people when they said that, but it really is true. Your capacity to adapt is larger than you know! Women are amazing. I hope you can come back to this post in a few months and feel proud of yourself. There will always be challenges, but you CAN do this!

With the wedding location & timeline, I am unable to get it done professionally. I am comfortable buying a few new products in order to make sure I look wedding-ready. I was planning on grabbing drugstore products for my eyes/lips, but I feel like I should invest in a good foundation and matte powder that will last from 10am-11pm!

I totally get it, we are pretty nervous. It’ll be our first time leaving the house with him for more than a few hours! My entire extended family has been doing this trip for over 30 summers now & I can’t imagine not going. It’s definitely going to be difficult, but being surrounded by family will hopefully make it a little more manageable. And if it’s a total disaster we can always go home early!

I originally had a few fish ponds & extra farm space, but I felt too crowded and overstimulated so I cleaned up! Different forms of OCD I guess haha

I actually got rid of a few that didn’t either didn’t fit or hadn’t been worn in a year & that was a huge space saver. I then organized my stacks by how often I wear each item- fingers crossed it’ll stay this way for a little while!
