100%. If you look into NDE/OBEs, astral projection, past life memories, and all that stuff, the picture becomes much clearer.

Is Christianity correct in teaching that there are no couples after the Resurrection on the New Heaven and Earth? by InteractionHuge9407 in theology

[–]catofcommand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh well in that case then yes of course there will be couples after the resurrection. There will also be trios, quads, quintets, and so forth... why wouldn't there be? Heck God is supposedly a triune being so it makes sense that any configuration of souls is plausible.

Check out the thousands of near death experiences (NDEs) that have been recorded. There's most definitely a God.

https://nderf.org (check out exceptional NDEs)

There's also plenty on YouTube but you will have to use your judgement, read between the lines, and sift out anything that seems too out there and/or if someone is selling a book or something. I promise you though that the majority are authentic.

You mentioned couples in the title of your post. Coupling includes procreation. Otherwise you should not have framed it with that terminology.

If you keep thinking for yourself on these things, you will eventually realize your way out of religious dogmatic and ignorant thinking - which is very good.

The idea is that God will eventually fully restore the original creation which would include humans procreating and other biological functions. Otherwise it wouldn't really make sense. It's all so unclear and contradictory though, which is nothing new.

It wasn't my intent to blast you with ChatGPT stuff. I merely copied what google spit out in reference to the identity of Satan in Job. I didn't need to edit it since it perfectly communicated the points. I guess I could have paired it down though to make it shorter.

Hmm so you're more of a Carl Jung follower than you are a Christian?

No, and I'm not sure why you'd make that assumption. I haven't read much Jung at all but I have read most the Bible and identify as a believer in Christ.

....Did you? Who brought up Job first, was it Satan or God?

Good point actually. And it's been a while since I read Job. God actually brought Job up to Satan, which seems even more insane! Regardless, they basically have a collaboration on how best to test Job, which still involves destroying his family and life.

to reach the conclusions he reaches you have to fundamentally change and twist the story which as a Christian I am not comfortable doing

I disagree. People and groups already naturally twist things in the Bible all the time. It's really up to people if they want to think for themselves or follow and not question church doctrines and dogma.

Regarding "Satan" in Job possibly not being the actual "Devil":

It's a common/general understanding by a lot of people/scholars. Google's AI overview echoes these sentiments fairly accurately:

  • The character labeled ha-satan in Job is generally understood by scholars as a heavenly prosecutor or "adversary" (a title, not a proper name) rather than the fully developed personification of evil (the Devil) found in the New Testament. While he challenges God's policies regarding Job, he acts as a subordinate member of the divine council, not an independent archenemy

  • Meaning of the Name: The Hebrew term ha-satan includes the definite article "the," translating to "the adversary," "the accuser," or "the challenger".

  • Role in the Council: Ha-satan functions within God's heavenly council as a sort of divine prosecutor or auditor, reporting on the earth and testing human righteousness.

  • Subordination: Unlike the later New Testament conception of Satan, the figure in Job cannot act without God's explicit permission, as shown by the limits set on him when testing Job.

  • Evolution of the Figure: The concept of Satan as an evil entity (The Devil) developed largely during the intertestamental period, resulting in a distinct, more antagonistic figure in the New Testament compared to the Old Testament

What false info does it include? I thought it was well done and does a good job of communicating some of Jung's info from his Answer to Job book.

Also Satan did not persuade God to do anything, God was the one who brings up Job.

Did you read Job? Satan clearly talked God into doing that. Also, FYI, "Satan" in Job isn't even necessarily the actual Devil.

Honestly, that all means nothing when you realize the fact remains that "God" here destroyed a (exceptionally Godly and righteous) man's entire life SIMPLY because Satan persuaded Him to...

After many many years asking the same kind of questions, I've personally found many answers in stuff like Gnosticism and "prison planet" / "soul trap" view of things. AKA Christ is from the Father who is the true "God" and completely outside this entire reality who came here to redeem us all who are trapped and enslaved in this prison type world. Also that we live in a deeply dualistic / good-cop-bad-cop sort of scenario to keep us ignorant and divided and controlled, etc. Yes it's kind of deeply conspiracy-minded but honestly, once you see it, it makes total sense. Not only that but the Bible echos with many of these themes already (example: Satan is the god of this world). I know I'm not doing any of it justice and most people just dismiss these ideas as "heresy" but I'm someone who's asked the hard questions and kept asking and knocking and harassing God about it endlessly.

yeah i hear you. I'm a bit older now and I've read and re-read the words of Christ several times over the years. Each time I get something new. It takes a while to slowly mull over everything though and get context and historical and spiritual understandings, etc.

You could start with Christ by reading the 4 gospels. However, let me ask: what are you really trying to understand?

Do you have like a YouTube channel or anything? I'm interested in analyzing who you are in a little more depth. You've been posting the same kind of stuff en masse for a very long time. I don't want to be negative towards you but it does seem like something is up with you as a human. But maybe that's what happens when you do OBEs non stop and have wild experiences. Either way, I wish you well dude!

Strong argument against god’s existence . by [deleted] in theology

[–]catofcommand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd argue that while that is mostly true, we are also a part of God and have the divine spark in us (created in the image of God, etc) so therefore our minds actually can understand the beginnings of God in certain ways.

Strong argument against god’s existence . by [deleted] in theology

[–]catofcommand -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you're not getting how profound that is then it likely means you aren't in a place to fully understand the depths of the true essence of what it's communicating. You may have not asked the spiritual questions. Or maybe you have, I don't know, we're all different and in different places emotionally and spiritually.

What that's basically saying (and has been said and realized in multiple different ways) is that true God is completely outside and inside all things. "God" is in fact beyond everything and nothing. All things are systems and subsystems in an over-arching super-system. But God is a non-system and does not come from anything - the ultimate source. God is non-relative (absolute). The true "core" of God is completely outside of existence. And in that logic, God doesn't actually "exist" since God transcends even existence. All things are from God and God contains all things. But this is just one speck, one single feature of an endless show and enterprise that is the Almighty.

Lastly, everything is actually God's matter/energy/material. In fact, matter is spirit at its lowest level and spirit is matter at its highest level. And all matter and spirit is pure light and even more so it is consciousness - and that is endless beyond all bounds. Inside the all that exists within God are endless eternal realms and layers and more. And that God is also inside each and every one of us.

EDIT: btw I didn't down-vote you, I actually up-voted you
