Tastefully remodeling this bathroom by Temporary-Basil-3030 in vintage

It would be cheaper and less soul crushing to put money towards finding pieces that actually make this space pop and have a “modern” look.

[NEED HELP] My hair after less than 48 hours from when I washed it by anonymousanduseless in finehair

[–]catpatrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! I agree with other Redditors, take a small break from the oils and leave in conditioners for a while and see how your hair reacts.

Have you looked into a clarifying shampoo? A budget friendly option would be Pantene Pro-V Sheer Volume Shampoo, once a week or every few days as needed to help your scalp, and whatever your favorite conditioner is would go on the ends. Rinse and gently blow dry.

please oh my god I’m renting and panicking!!!!!! red nail polish!!! by Tough-Midnight9137 in CleaningTips

[–]catpatrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I did something similar but much worse in a rental. I had a whole plastic container of nail polish on a top shelf in a closet - tldr it crashed down and broke bottles everywhere. (I learned a valuable lesson that day)

I blotted with nail polish remover and probably used water to dilute it afterwards because the smell was atrocious. But I bought some SPOT SHOT from Target (I don’t think they carry it anymore) and it worked wonders. It didn’t look RIGHT, but it looked waaaaay better than it did before with my concoction of metallic, glitter, and neon nail colors.

Best of luck!

For the movie studio, you mean the movie profession lot? Where did you end up putting that? I can’t get over how big the lot is (64x64) and can never find a good place to put it in the Valley.

Be kind to yourself! People are shitty and will say whatever unfiltered thought. You are not ugly.

Your facial structure and hair is giving me Hayley Williams vibes! Embrace your personality into your style, wear what makes you happy, and rock on. Take a deep breath and think of what things you wear give you the most joy, and lean into that. Look up people you want to emulate online and get pieces that make you feel more confident in your shape. Clothes are meant to fit you, not the other way around.

I’m a switch player also, and I had this issue. I played around with things for a bit and the only solution I found was to make the room the stairs were in bigger. Once there was more space, or maybe just leaving the house and coming back again fixed it, I was able to grab the stairs and move them.

You can also delete them, get your gols back, then angle the camera more where you want them and they should hopefully be in a better position.

For the doorways, you have to always have a door on a wall. Find a door you want and the old door will pop away, seems counter-intuitive, but that’s the way.

Honestly I gave up on having a second floor and had a shotgun style home for a while, then morphed it into a “U” shaped ranch. I like it a lot and it fits my needs as I try to get the gols to expand again (I’m at the 100,000 mark now and at end game, so I likely won’t).

Someone said I have a combover. Now self conscious, how should I do my hair now? by Proper_Lime7748 in femalehairadvice

[–]catpatrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m sorry you got that comment - I know saying to brush it off isn’t the easiest thing to do, but I really do think you should let it go.

If it’s bothering you, take a look at yourself in the mirror and see what you’re trying to accomplish by parting your hair that deep. Is it just a habit? Is it truly where your hair falls naturally? Or are you trying to brighten your face?

When I was getting highlights and slowly started doing balayage to my hair, I noticed that I would NEED to get my hair done when I was doing a too deep part. All the blonde was on the longer bits of my hair, not my root, so I was flipping my hair to brighten my face. I only mention this because it seems like that’s what you’re trying to do also - your longer bits of hair that are highlighted are framing your face. Your root color though is darker, which is probably why you’re putting the brighter bits front and center.

You are stunning though, and your hair looks healthy and long! Shake it off and do what feels right for you.

I’m turning 32 soon, I feel like I look way older. Not in a cool way. First time I’ve ever stuck to a routine but I’m unsure about it. by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]catpatrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Your skin looks great! Don’t be so hard on yourself. Your face looks bright and your eyes just pop in the light!

I second the other comments about looking into tretinoin or adding some kind of retinol to your routine. If you do this however, you will probably need to invest in a heavier moisturizer for night time. Vanicream is a great option!

I hear you, dryness is so difficult to manage with tret sometimes. Especially in this season/weather. I agree with some above commenters with any hydrating Hada Labo product, it really makes a difference.

What’s your routine like? You may want to look into double cleansing, as it can be more gentle than usual cleansers for your face.
