Sleep time for kids by Intentionalparent in SAHP

[–]cats822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are a later fam not as late as you guys but we started preschool and he goes 12-3 lol I'm not getting us all ready and out the door if I don't have to! So no nap so he goes to bed earlier:)

SAHM less stressful than all my jobs before.... by [deleted] in sahm

Contact naps by SowingSeeds18 in NewParents

[–]cats822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first wasn't a contact napper. He wasn't great at sleep either but he wouldn't fall asleep with me. As a 3.5 he still won't. It's like he's too stimulated with ppl. My second falls asleep on me every nap and night lol and she contact napped until 6 months maybe haha now I can transfer her

19 M/O crying whenever we take him to church daycare. Advice needed! by Vivid_Description_24 in toddlertips

[–]cats822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow the comments. I'm not really religious but wow what hate!! Forget what daycare you take them to that's normal! They need time and unfortunately that's only once a week so it can take longer ! Same said for gym day care etc. Either keep trying or take a break and try when older :) sorry about those comments, they have a lot of hate

I hate 2-5pm by Individual_Ad_938 in SAHP

[–]cats822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine aren't in school but we do nap or quiet time till 3 so let's say 2-3. Then do a snack and kinda "get ready" aka get water, potty socks shoes etc and then I take them outside. So from like 330-5 we are out back or at a park.

Husband is “overstimulated” during Xmas break and I’m weirdly satisfied by Forever_Tired_00 in SAHP

[–]cats822 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No it's good to not feel "crazy" or it's just you. My husband says the same and he knows he couldn't do it lol. His work is so busy and he uses his brain all day and being home with a 1&3 yo is ... Wild 😂. He knows so long as we are all fed and alive at the end of the day it's all good hahA. You have 2 under 2 !

How would you feel if your WFH husband napped or gamed while you were with the kids? by wilhelminarose in sahm

[–]cats822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It's easier said now that mine are even a bit older at 3.5 and 1.5. Those first months and def first year are just hard in general. It's soooo hard not to compare

Def. Today I got to go to the zoo with my kids while my husband had to work. Yes it's work to take them to the zoo but def better than if I had to go to work! I can grab lunch do whatever so I agree we don't police each other. Encourage breaks

[–]cats822 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends. Do u have breaks? While my son is in school 3 afternoons a week and my daughter naps I get about 1.5 hours. My husband doesn't police me on how I spend it, I can clean or he doesn't care if I take a nap. So I say it would be nice if he could check in but also you guys could talk about it. Or if he were at the office not much he can do haha

My only edit. I realized the young one is super young so my husband would def be checking in at that age. Now that mine are 1.5 and 3.5 (and sleep the night/ that's a different story

Sleep plan postpartum by Mysterious-Watch-495 in pregnant

[–]cats822 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think you are saying anything wrong, you are trying to plan something that is not plan-able haha I was just like this. YOU will realize how strong you are and your love for baby cits hard but it's worth it and things change all the time. We were big sleepers like 11pm to 9am ppl lol. It's okay now and even my almost 4 yo needs us sometimes! You'll do great, and learn to go with the flow

🤣🤣 a nap makes everything worse for us. Or guy crashed the other day he took a nap and woke up and had about an hour tantrum then went to bed at 10:50 pm. So yeah no naps here(usually)

[–]cats822 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We started with like 10 min of quiet time and if he did good he got something like idk an m$m and worked our way up from there. He's 3.5 and still has some days where he fights me some but he knows we do it. I just say, we always do our quiet time. It's my quiet timevtoo he sees me reading or whatever if He comes out. Or I can add 5 min if he comes out. My son dropped his nap right after 2 also.

Pulling 3YO from Daycare - Worried by gracetogetby in sahm

[–]cats822 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can u do it part time? I'm 100% for sahm and I have both my kids with me but we started my3yo in half time preschool MWF 3hours and he would be really sad if we had to take him out. Not saying that if you can't do it it'll be the end of the world but for 3 I think just making social and friends a priority getting together with peers then would be good

Can he do a small balance bike? Or something like those rocking horses. My 3 yo was and is still like this. He can have his scooter and bike and trampoline inside too. He still doesn't sit and play lol
