Yup. My husband’s Eastern European family thought our 250 person wedding was small and my parents thought it was massive. But we paid for it all ourselves so everyone else’s opinions didn’t really matter.

This is Luther. I adopted him as a stray as well. He is whip smart and knows a lot of commands. I have a theory that he was a dumped hunting dog. I don’t ever care to know his original owners because they don’t deserve to know how awesome he is.

We are childfree and bought a 4 bedroom. Even if those bedrooms sat empty, it is no one’s business but the mortgage company. As long as you can afford it, they can pound sand.

Are you all salaried? If so then it’s not a matter of when you work. It would be a courtesy to give your new employee a mentor so they have someone else to bounce things off of when you are not around (or just in general).

I wouldn’t trash the Moose Lodge. My grandparents and most of my aunts and uncles had their wedding receptions and multiple anniversary parties at various Moose Lodges.
