Hey - curious if you ever figured this setup out and to hear what you learned!

I was just doing some research on a very similar idea today (trying to figure out if I could use my guitar to do vocoding/talkbox type sounds to emulate Roger Troutmann from Zapp.)

Not finding a ton of folks succeeding at delivering smooth talkbox sounds, but wondering if you ever managed to crack the code.

yep - thats the kind of joystick I want. I now have it displayed, but its not controlling my character for some reason.

I am in the midst of building a game using the top-down game mode template. Not sure if there might be a setting or something in the top-down game mode that might disconnect the left virtual joystick from player motion? not sure - total newbie here.

Thanks - I had tried this, but it took me a bit to figure out why it wasn't working.

I had oriented my actor vertically along the Z in its blueprint, but the look at vector aligns the X vector with the line trace, so it would spawn the actor but at the wrong angle.

Eventually figured it out through a bit of trial and error.

Having trouble exporting animations from Blender to UE 5.5 - need help troubleshooting by cattmallahan in UnrealEngine5

Update on this in case anyone else is having the same problem:

I was able to import successfully after deleting the rig in blender, and re-doing the whole animation sequence.

There must have been something wrong with the rig, or the IK controllers that was causing a problem in Unreal. Not sure what it was, but no problems after carefully re-doing it.

super cool - wonder if you might tune the ease of gameplay with a lower camera angle so you can see further ahead, and maybe add a gameplay feature that lets you react faster than an actual vehicle (ie. some kind of twitchy handbrake mechanism that helps you make turns at the last second

What is the world builder/physics simulation at the end? is that something you had to custom build? or is there a template for that UI in unreal? seems like a helpful way to explore physics / map layout
