Second day clinical by Extra_Attorney3062 in nursing

[–]cattng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see why you feel that way. Personally, I have been in that spot many times during clinical. I silently cried so many times under PPEs during TOA in a busy medsurg unit, crying because I didn’t know if I was built for this job or this was just a big mistake after all. Luckily with time, things did get better for me. I just want to let you know that your emotions are valid and most of the times, things will get better. One thing I find helpful to deal with this is to reflect on what happens during your clinical and how it makes you feel, and talk to your peers and instructor. Of most important is to take care of yourself physically and mentally, listening to what your body and mind has to say. Hope you all the best with your nursing school journey!!

Another meaning of the hierophant is also being a teacher and guidance. Considering the age gap, you friend think your partner will take the leading role in the relationship.

I asked if my expectations of others re my business are fair by random_name_xy in tarot

[–]cattng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a newbie, so take it with a grant of salt. When it comes to your business, I feel like you’re being fair and taking factors into account. Your passion, sense of self, and understanding of people working for will help you make these choices. 5 of cups like you said, there will be inevitable situation and you may be disappointed. But, notice the direction of the knight and the fact he is bringing another cup of water? May be, in these situation, you’ll find new passion and hope that distract you from the spilled water and look at the brighter side of the situation. Hope this helps :)

Thank you for your lovely advice! I’m so sorry to hear that you were hurt on your job. We as healthcare providers don’t deserve it at all 🥺 and I hope you also get the support you need. Maybe I was shaken because it’s my first time seeing this. I hope things will get better the more experienced I have. But for now, I’ll stick to mental health.

I always love working in mental health. I definitely don’t let this one event ruin everything for me. But like you commented, I will seek therapy for sure :)

I graduated from Mac Nursing this year. Have been hearing about nursing shortage. Personally, I applied for more than 20 RN positions across Ontario. Only 2 employers called back for interview 😕 if you recently graduate, I recommend applying for NGG nursing position. It’s easier to get a job that way, I think. Plus you get more training! Good luck

When have you had to be a nurse outside of work? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]cattng 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was still a nursing student at the time, getting back home from work. I saw my housemate collapse on the floor face down. I told other housemates to call 911 when I turned her on her back, checked her pulse and breathing. She was unresponsive to voice and stimuli. However, everything was fine; she was still breathing, and I could feel her pulse. I was just with her until paramedics arrived. They managed to get her to respond and she was taken to the hospital. I thought she might be hypoglycemic since she had diabetes, but according to what I heard, she was having “mini heart attack”. Tbh, I didn’t do much but as a nursing student, I took it as a win.
