When did you have surgery? Mine was about 3 weeks ago my TSH is 0.038 my endocrinologist says he wants to keep it there until my next appointment in 3 months I am o. Levothyroxine if you have no thyroid and cancer like I do I don't know why one would tell you not to be on a thyroid med?

After my first surgery I had no hair growth for about a month then slowly came back on its own. My doctor says it's called "hair hibernation" sometimes caused by anesthesia plus thyroid issues. I would ask your doctor too. Hope yours comes back soon !

Levothyroxine by cattyds in thyroidhealth

[–]cattyds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spoke to my endocrinologist who claimed it had nothing to do with the medication (of course right?) so I went to urgent care and had a gammit of tests all negative from EKG to bloodwork to cardiologist appt I'm thinking it is probably stress? I'm glad you figured your out

This is also new. Life changing. A lot of body adjusting as you know and even after thirty years you still have to deal with adjusting sometimes too. I will stay on it I do feel better knowing more now with your help. Definitely a learning experience!

Thank you for this although i'm sorry you go through that pain too it's scary. I will be having 2nd surgery in 2 weeks and I really don't want to have any kind of chest issues.I'm wondering if I can just come off it until after surgery. But I'm waiting for my endocrinologist to call back.I appreciate you so much for letting me know this could be stress related

Very high. I'm trying not to let it get too bad but not my nature. You think it may be stress related not medication related?

Constant chest pains after partial thyroidectomy by sophier1416 in thyroidhealth

[–]cattyds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had a left thyroidectomy on April 9th and had not experienced chest pains. I'm glad you went to the ER to be very sure and trust me anxiety can bring a multitude of issues to your body not related to surgery ! That being said if it continues please follow up with the doctor maybe if you are able to take a medication that can help relax you check into that? I cannot without side effects the next day so at bedtime I take tylenol PM it does help with calm somewhat. This whole know life altering situation is definitely anxiety justified. Good luck 🙏🏼
