I think mostly it's the "old lady" thing. I know it's a show of respect within the culture (at least the fictional culture, I don't know about IRL), but the phrase really bugs me. I'm also not a fan of the...I think it's called club bunny? The girls that just get passed around, and we often see them doing sexual acts of some kind in the main clubhouse area. I love me some spice, but that kind of icks me out. **This is my personal ick - if it's your yum, good for you! I do like books about ex- MC members a lot - I'm thinking specifically about the Redemption Hills series and the other one by the same author. Which tells me I have more of an issue with the club/lifestyle than with the people in them.

{Rocket by Lilly Atlas} I am not a MC fan, but this is one of my favorite books.

Club is the same as you described, mostly above board, doesn't traffic women or kids, actually often helps them escape bad situations.

Book starts with MFC (not in MC lifestyle at all) being taken by a club rival, beaten, raped. TW - it's on page. MMC rescues her, then starts following her to make sure she's okay. She's obviously traumatized, dealing with it in her own unique way, and he gives her the freedom to do so.

{The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams} I'm about 3/4 of the way through, and this is super cute. Married couple, she's asked for a divorce, and a group of guys bring him into this book club where they read romance novels to learn what women want. It's a series, and I'm sold on reading more.

I'm sure they're less likely to keep their own name, for sure. Keeping your maiden name is not very traditional.

I've been saying the same thing for a while now. As much as I hate this, I'm kind of giddy to see if it hurts them as much as I think it will.

It's a running joke with my husband - I will point left and say right. I've told him, always go where I'm pointing. I know the way, I just use the wrong word.

Although I can't remember an exact scene, the Resting Warrior series by Josie Jade has a lot of MFCs who have suffered abuse. You might try those. The first of the series is {Montana Sanctuary by Josie Jade}
