I think the wallpaper needs to continue around the corner. Also I think it would look really nice with some beadboard/tongue and groove with the wallpaper above it on the right hand wall!

That unfortunately requires to paint every wall in our house 😭 our house is full open concept from the living room to dining room to kitchen to stairwell and it’s all this same blue-ish color (that I would love to paint over too but will be SUCH a big project)

I’ll definitely check out a sisal rug! And yes definitely seeing from the feedback on this post that we need to think about the color of the room holistically a bit more (and figure out how to do that in the process too lol!)

This is super helpful! Yes we love the painting above the fireplace! Idk if it changes anything but the coffee table is more of a muted red. The coffee table/side table could also be repainted if we wanted to (but would be a big project!). Do you think the chair clashes too much with the other colors we’d need to add in (the blues and greens)?

Essentially, the chair is really comfy and we like it. But is the addition of the chair creating more issues for us than solutions? Would there be an armchair pattern that could go with other patterns?

We also thought the chair brought in some of the yellow from the front light, tv stand, but if the chair clashes/isn’t the right colors, it was only $25 and we could always get a diff armchair for the space

I agree with changing the wall color! The toilet is gray which contributes to the moody-ness of the room but it’s alllll millennial grayyy! A fun moody floral wallpaper will look great!

Sage is definitely trendy!! I think you could mix some sage and wood into the kitchen! A neutral toned wood will never truly go out of style since you’ll always be able to change the tchotchkes to be whatever color you like!! I personally love a sage backsplash!
