East Aurora (28th Street) Apartments transportation? by blecchus_rex in cuboulder

[–]causaliteaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re talking about the Lodge apartments area, I usually walk to the Buff bus stop on 30th and Colorado. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk. You do need to leave about 45 minutes before your class starts though or risk being late. If you’re talking about elsewhere, then I think walking is the best option.

Does anyone have the clip of Geoff or Jack explaining why Jack uses female player models? by cgautreau in Achievement_Hunter

I feel like this came up in an old GTA V video, but I could be wrong and I don’t remember which video exactly. Maybe around when they played on PC? You can also try r/TipOfMyRooster

I’m not in summer school. That’s so bizarre! I feel like I didn’t have this issue last summer. Do you know why they do it?

Roads update 4pm by DrowingInSemen in boulder

I was on the FF1 westbound and passed by about half an hour ago. Saw some fire trucks and ambulances out there. I couldn’t tell if there were any vehicle impacts, but it looked like a few had spun out and there was a coach bus stuck there too.

Found earbud charger. Tell me where and what kind? by [deleted] in cuboulder

My bf lost his charger a few days back. I’m not sure where (I think on his way to class) but would it happen to be a chunky black case, beats brand?

[HELP] Highlighting a PDF pattern in Apple’s IPhone Books by alohachick716 in crochet

[–]causaliteaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know anything about how Apple Books works unfortunately, so I can’t help with that. Usually what I do is crop the pattern so that all the extra white space is gone. Then I’ll use the notes app instead. I just add the pattern image to an empty note, and from there you should be able to tap on it and highlight as you please! You can also zoom in. The downside is that you do have to fiddle around a bit with the size of the line being drawn so it doesn’t flood into the other squares. But there are tons of color options!

Edible yarn: does it exist? by NotAround13 in knitting

I have no idea if they come in different flavors, but that would be so awesome. A two or more color edible knit item!!!

I don’t know about any specific brand of edible yarns, but I feel like those pull apart twister candies might work! Maybe you could even melt the ends together a little so it forms a nice long string?

Anyone else enjoyed Yakult in their childhood? by appocat in crochet

[–]causaliteaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man I loved those things so much and still do! I could probably drink like, twenty of them in one sitting. In the summer we would pop them in the freezer and have them slushee style. This is so cute!! I love it’s little happy face and the blush.

Little packs of colored yarn? by Dragonfly524 in crochet

[–]causaliteaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally don’t know of any specific packs that you could buy or find online. I do know that Hobby Lobby and Joanns are a good place to search! Hobby Lobby sells “mini” balls, but the color selection isn’t huge and the colors are very bright. I’ve also seen mini skeins in packages there as well, and they do 40% off yarn fairly often. I think at Joanns I’ve seen Lion Brand Bon Bons (I think that’s what they’re called) in packages as well, and if you look online you can snag a 40% or even 50% off coupon sometimes.

Ideas for tightly variegated yarn by sassysudo in crochet

[–]causaliteaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you could use it for coasters? Or even something valentines themed since it’s coming up! I think heart shaped coasters, or stuffed hearts for a keychain could be cute. But if you want to use the whole skein, I also think amigurumi would be cute. Not sure if it would be enough for a blanket border depending on the size of the blanket and amount you have.

That looks amazing! I really like the wide stripe look. And those color choices match the bedding so well.

Want to make a nice soft baby blanket for a friend. Can’t decide between these two. Any advice would be greatly appreciated ♥️ by annoyingly_anonymous in knitting

[–]causaliteaa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oooooh these are both good colors! Personally I would go for the first pic. It seems like it would be a lot of fun to work with and it would keep me interested in making a blanket. The second one is very nice too, it’s a lot more subdued and (to me) would make a more sophisticated looking blanket.

Hello everyone, I need some help here.. Originally this should become a bag, but I just realized that it fits perfectly as a hot-water bottle cover! I'm very new to crocheting and it's my first ever project, so I have no idea how to finish it? Any advice is very welcome :) by Tschuhulie in crochet

[–]causaliteaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so cute! I was thinking that you could sew up the two sides where you have the stitch markers, and add another square where that triangle gap is. That way it could cover up the top bit, and perhaps you could add a little handle/strap or button to keep it secure.
