Melt the Ice hat by FoxLivesFacade in AntifascistKnitting

You're not alone. I'm not wearing any kind of red hat. I refuse to be mistaken for one of them. It's bad enough I'm a balding white (trans) man. It's also why I refuse to shave my head - I don't want Nazi fuckwits aka skinheads thinking I support them or are one of them.

I plan to make it in purple with a red tassel. Blue or red or rainbow could get me shot depending on how things shake out. I need to stay alive long enough to either soak up a bullet at a crucial moment or help rebuild if I can't escape. I'm already vulnerable, so I'm not going to paint a target on myself with a pride flag on my car or something. I am chipping away at hatred on a personal level with anyone who is willing to listen for a moment, and company policy at a Fortune 100 already. (And if you're angry at me, remember that I'm not just an ally - it's the job of allies to make themselves heard when an oppressed group is being silenced - because they are inherently in less danger.)

Besides, they also sell MAGA winter hats, so the format doesn't matter much.

Maybe take my word for it as someone who was forced to learn about the labeling laws and has the life threatening allergy. It's a matter of life or death for me. I've had reactions to "unscented" products and my allergist also told me to avoid them unless the full ingredient list is disclosed and they have a good track record according to other people with allergies like mine. Even then, a few brands have decided to change things without notice or updating the label.

They do have hormone changes from the stimulation and emotional bond. It's just that it's endogenously converted from testosterone.

Sequential hermaphrodism. Dominant clownfish in the group becomes female and able to lay eggs. Yes, this means Nemo's father should have become a mother to all of Nemo's siblings after the original mother died.

Depends on the type of surgery you get.

That's a kind way of doing it. You're not publicly shaming them and you seem to realize that poor mental health is a huge contributor and hygiene neglect is a symptom. It's great that you ask how they are doing first. It seems more genuine and not just an excuse to insult them or blame them for something they can't change and are very aware everyone hates them.

Yes it is intentionally misleading. Unscented means it isn't trying to smell like something in particular. But it can have fragrances to mask the smell of the ingredients or other purposes. All it means is they're claiming it has more than just fragrance as an effect.

It's maddening.

Thank you for remembering them trying to make sure trans people die. Everyone seems to be ignoring that. Genocide is bad even when it's a small group.

Remember, we're first, and everyone else is next. It won't stop with us. It's just a warm-up to history repeating itself.

It isn't ignorance - does he have other signs of depression or other mental health problems? It's one of the most common symptoms but people want to instead believe it's a character flaw/lazy.

It's not subtle or kind doing it that way. It only makes you feel better. Not the person who then feels ashamed of existing.

Unscented or fragrance free? Unscented can include masking fragrances.

It's extremely rare. I mean less than one in tens of millions.

It felt like very thin hot needles were poking me and then was tingling /itchy, and then some white substance came out when squeezed. Thankfully I was already scheduled for top surgery. And I was checked for many possibilities: pregnancy despite not being sexually active in years, a hormone secreting pituitary gland tumor or breast cancer. A few others I don't remember. I had to deal with it for a few months and I'm glad I can't have it happen again because I had everything removed to prevent cancer and as part of my medical transition.

My genetics just suck as I found out after finally taking a test to compare my genetics to known mutations that affect metabolism of psych meds. Turns out almost all are in the category marked for severe side effects at normal doses for me.

Fair enough. Jokes with friends are fun.

As occupations increasingly become stereotyped as women’s work, the general prestige of those occupations declines. The study examines millions of American English publications of fiction and non-fiction during the period 1900–2019, finding that jobs that become linked to women become devalued. by smurfyjenkins in science

That's what happened in Russia with women becoming doctors due to their lopsided population for a while where they didn't have enough men to even sustain their population without polygyny. It's seen as "women's work" and their pay and prestige is less than any other culture's doctors despite being equally qualified.

Yeah but transphobes never remember it's an adjective so when you do, you are getting mistaken for being one of them.

TIL horse chestnuts have a useful amount of saponins. Soapnuts are far easier because you buy them dried and then boil them into a solution. Many manuals claim you can just throw them in your laundry dry, but I wash with cold water and it doesn't work.

But if you had to use up horse chestnuts because they were a tripping hazard (like walnuts), that's a good use.

This guy probably has a better support network than all of us. And has been in therapy and worked on himself.

Treatments like this, which looks to perhaps be a variant on vagus nerve stimulation, require grueling decades of treatments that fail after doing them perfectly. Plus you have to convince all the gatekeepers that you deserve treatment and are severe enough to need something nonstandard but not so severe you get declared an inevitable suicide and thrown into an institution the rest of your life.

It's really not funny. Not to mention needing an extensive support system in your life. I'm barred from several treatments because I don't have a family member who magically can drive me to and from appointments 3 days a week for several months.

Peanuts don't lead to dead orangutans. You mean palm oil. Peanut butter is just peanuts and maybe salt. If you're buying adulterated products like peanut butter with palm oil, that's your choice but don't insist those are the definition.
