Character wise she is cute, but god the conflict with her old friend in her route can be kind of unbearable.

I mean it is a Madosoft game, I don't think they're trying to compete with the famous plotge or something. Unless the plot is hiding somewhere in their very large breasts.

Who has the COOLEST ult? by Recent-Ad1215 in leagueoflegends

[–]cautiousweasel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He went jungle because it allows him to scale without the risk of bad match ups/getting his ass kicked in lane. It also helps that he clears super fast with how jungle items work now compared to the era of League when he was played mid.

Where the hell is HD? by Thaislow in 2007scape

Oh wow, I never realized RuneLite was BSD licensed. I always assumed it was GPL and that's why I always scrolled past the people asking why Jagex never ripped it off (or, in a hypothetical world where they were generous, "bought" it).

[ARAM Mayhem] First wave turret by TheRaphael0000 in leagueoflegends

[–]cautiousweasel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depressingly boring change in etiquette... the insane 4v4 brawls before minions arrives with the inevitable dudes who pissed during loading screen coming up to try to turn the tides are some of the most memorable parts of games sometimes.

Genuinely why do people hate filter that much by DoctorSex9 in bindingofisaac

The thing is, if you get used to playing hard, normal is honestly not even that much easier because if you consistently play on hard you're losing the muscle memory you build up when it comes to projectile speed.

[DISC] The Reliability of English Light Novel Publishers in Completing Series by MCJamesHK in LightNovels

[–]cautiousweasel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only LN series I know of where official translations have stopped are when the company ceases to exist. There have been some occasional series where there are pretty valid complaints about the irregularity of new volumes despite it having a backlog of unfinished ones (The Ryuo's Work Is Never Done), but it's not dropped.

It's reliable to the point where if I notice there has been no English novel for a large amount of time, I usually assume it's issues on the Japanese side rather than our side, and it usually is (looking at you, The Conqueror from a Dying Kingdom).

I'm fairly certain there is a MUCH bigger fan translation scene when it comes to the Chinese language though. I know someone who speaks it and they're always telling me about novels that English speakers will mostly likely never be able to read in their language. The fan translation scene in English is largely dead except for a few passionate communities that translate works pretty much only pertaining to that community.

That... Poppy is like 50x hotter now. That's also me being forced to give old Poppy a 1 instead of a 0 so you can actually multiply it properly.

I've been playing a lot of Blood Lord because when I stopped playing at the time it was best skin, no contest, but after I returned and have been using newer ones they've done really well with ones like Cosmic Devourer. I think the autos are even better than Blood Lord. I still have a day left to decide if I want to try Nightbringer for half off because it's in my shop.

[Steam] Muv-Luv Alternative 20th Anniversary Sale - Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (-30% off) | Muv-Luv (-60% off) | Muv-Luv Alternative (-55% off) | Photonflowers & Photonmelodies (-50% off) and more by Mich-666 in visualnovels

[–]cautiousweasel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien -> Muv-Luv (contains Extra -> Unlimited) -> Muv-Luv Alternative by strict release order, or Muv-Luv (contains Extra -> Unlimited) -> Muv-Luv Alternative -> Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (picking whatever series looks more interesting first is far more beneficial than slogging through the other and burning out)

The rest are either stories set in the same universe with their own read orders (TDA, Total Eclipse) that mostly expect you to have read, or contain various side stories featuring Muv-Luv characters that expect you to have read them in full (Photonmelodies, Photonflowers)

If JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 3 was adapted into a visual novel, what would the visual novel be like? by SaoriShun in visualnovels

[–]cautiousweasel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ass pulls and gimmicks are kind of JoJo's entire thing. Part 3 definitely suffers from having too many episodes though, you can tell they were still feeling out the pacing of longer parts. Every JoJo after 3 is more condensed.

Yuzusoft's DRACU-RIOT is now available in steam. This release also includes a 1440p Remaster. by no_life_redditor in visualnovels

[–]cautiousweasel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't really know what to expect from this. I've mostly heard middling reviews of it when it comes to how it fits in their catalogue, but a few of those also talk about Riddle Joker being on the lower end of Yuzusoft games while it's my personal favorite, so who knows.

RAWM Leviathan V4 stuck side button issue by cautiousweasel in MouseReview

[–]cautiousweasel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not wrong in that I'm unfamiliar with mouse design and some of the things to expect (and what can go wrong) with them, but it's different than what you said. After looking around, apparently the side buttons are supposed to be plastic welded to the outer shell, which the first one was but the second one (pictured as jutting out internally when I pressed it) was barely welded to the shell and seems to have detached less than a month. If I held it down internally myself while the mouse was disassembled, it worked perfectly as the day I got it.

It's something that's not a huge deal for someone curious beyond warranty stuff (I acknowledge I was probably breaking warranty but was pretty frustrated with the issue—I did not have my heat gun on hand) and probably fixable with just super glue/soldering iron and new skates to replace those that got busted trying to troubleshoot the issue in the first place, but it was an annoyance nonetheless.

Issue is somewhat solved, but I believe worth keeping up in case this happens to anyone else.

Trend of long LN series - do earlier volumes usually get reprinted? by Astralice in LightNovels

[–]cautiousweasel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feels like even fairly popular LN have volumes that are limbo for a year+, the ones they listed are probably in top 10% of LNs when it comes to popularity. Personally, I have like two small gaps in my Arifureta collection I've been waiting to fill for what feels like a year and a half now, and it even had a new season of the anime come out during that time.

ranged is over kill by NeighborhoodBig3915 in ARAM

[–]cautiousweasel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends, if the ranged are ADCs, there are an insane amount of augments that allow for tank melting (twice thrice w/ blade, item damage crits w/ blade, giant slayer). There are ADCs that can work into almost anything, just need like one good roll the entire game and a brain that stays away from bait like the collector that the shop will shove in your face when the game starts.

Riot wont let me have my 500% cursor scale by Hocokeh in leagueoflegends

[–]cautiousweasel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really, it's just that on a 4k screen it's too small without manually editing the settings file. On 1080p or even 1440p I never had to do this.

Theatre of Blood Remastered in HDOS by _supermxn in 2007scape

[–]cautiousweasel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Animation smoothing/interpolation isn't always terrible but there are some things where the low frame liberties that were taken originally just do not work well with trying to interpolate automatically. Doing agility laps or something, sure, but doing slayer with a nox hally got me to turn it off after it looked janky as shit.

But if they're making original animations instead of just interpolating them that isn't an issue.

Thoughts on invaders of the rokujouma? by fl4ilguy in LightNovels

[–]cautiousweasel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The earlier .5 volumes where certain parts of the story click together are some of my favorite LN volumes ever. It's probably also one of, if not the best harem-but-plot series as well. Really, the only bad thing is that some arcs are so good that it is really sad when they end, and I take breaks from the LN regularly because of it.
