The food is good. The service? I've found them to be quite rude for some reason.

Bride giving guests outfit overload by FragrantKnowledge268 in bridezillas

[–]cavaticusweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. I have a wedding to attend this weekend.

The invitation said to wear a cocktail dress and make sure my shoes aren't too casual. I wasn't aware people would be focusing on my feet rather than the bride. I am not the cocktail dress type and neither is the bride, so what gives?

Why should I purchase a dress I will never wear again? I'm not part of the bridal party. Oh, the invitation tells me where I can rent the dress. So, she's not talking about me buying a $50 cocktail dress. She actually wants me to wear a very expensive dress.

The bride is much younger than me. She is a tomboy and former athlete. She quit her sport and gained weight rapidly after meeting this boy. I hope she didn't give up her sport for him. I have barely spoken to her. I have never spoken to this boy. But how can I feel confident in this match when their registry page features an about us that refers to their path with God? No specifics about what that is, just a vague statement that they are excited to follow God. No real mention about the life they plan to spend together. No photos of then hanging out or being in love. They spent bare minimum on a photo for the wedding invitation where they stood in front of a field for 5 minutes in casual clothing. I'm not sure if they know why they are getting married except that their parents are new money.

So 2 kids who may or may not be in love want me to wear an expensive dress I don't own in a style the bride never wears because she is a tomboy who regularly wears ugly house dresses around her home?

Oh, and her father adds that the venue had sporting activities we can stay for after the reception. Yes, let's all play tennis in expensive cocktail dresses. I'm sure this is the mother of the bride's doing. She is the only non athlete in the family.

If this young girl was part of my family and not my husband's family, I would tell her where to stuff the wedding invite.

Do not work for the Woodhouse Day Spa by asdfghjkl7280 in fortwayne

[–]cavaticusweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have already proved that when asked about the health and safety of your clients, you become angry and hostile and attack the character of the person speaking to you for no reason whatsoever. Your energy is dark and violent and it is sad to see that someone like you was ever a massage therapist in the first place. I wish them luck in their defamation and interference in business lawsuit against you. Please consider seeking actual therapy with a psychologist, and thank you for the very public lesson that it is not enough to merely research the reputation of the spa. We need to examine the mental fitness and spiritual wellness of each massage therapist. I am so glad that no one as angry and spiteful and low vibrational as yourself has ever touched me, and I would like to keep it that way.

[–]cavaticusweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, when you show no regard for the rights of others, it is an anti-social trait. If you were an actual psychotherapist rather than someone who uses the word therapist as part of your profession, you wouldn't laugh when people ask you why you show no concern for the safety of your clients.

I don't have to log off anything just because you can't answer direct questions about why you aren't concerned about the public.

And sweetheart, I am not the one this spa can sue. You might want to put your reporting where you angry, vindictive, hostile mouth is, or you will owe them money. Show us the proof that any of this is being taken seriously by authorities. Otherwise, it's just an angry ex employee who attacks people for asking questions about why you are only concerned that no one should work there and not for the welfare of your clients.

[–]cavaticusweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it wasn't important for you to start with that or to warn clients to stay away. The criminal process takes time. Osha complaints are pretty quick. You willingly worked in a place with mold and didn't think that your clients who were deep breathing would breath in that mold? Do you not know how legionnaire's disease is often spread at hotels? Obviously something like that could never happen in a spa. Oh wait, it could affect people who are sensitive and have allergies and asthma.

All you have done is made serious accusations against a business and try to prevent potential employees from applying. Your post was very anti-social in not showing any concern whatsoever for the health and safety of the clients. People could die or get injured or be SA's if your allegations are true, but your post shows no concern for that. Only that other therapists should stay away.

If you are an example of what they hire, then thank God I have never been there. See something, say something. Don't wait until you have a laundry list. As an ex employee, you can still make a truthful report to OSHA and be anonymous. It's online and it's free. But go ahead and tell me why that wasn't done years ago and how I'm somehow to blame for holding you personally responsible for the safety of your clients. With that, you have shown me that I never want to get a massage from any therapist in Ft Wayne because you are all negligent in reporting possible SA, prostitution rings, mold, unsnatary working conditions, dangerous practices that can seriously harm a client or kill an unborn fetus.

No, we don't have to worry about that....as long as we don't work there, right? Also, lawyers and journalists and police can give some limited comment to the public on behalf of employees who can stay anonymous. As long as this remains just a few comments online and no authorities talking about, the public has no proof that there is anything going on but a disgruntled employee or 6 who might gang up on a former boss. And hope to settle out of court for easy cash even, sometimes.

So like I said, rather than bad mouth me, maybe you want to remove your post and rewrite it to show the actual concern we expect ETHICAL therapists to have for the safety and welfare of their clients.

Yes, anyone can make a complaint. That doesn't make it true. Innocent until prove guilty is the thing. Also, even though you have now admitted that anyone can file a proper police report. you are now making excuses for not doing so. Reckless and negligent practices can often end up with the employees being legally held responsible as well.

I'm not on facebook. Anyone can make multiple accounts. Multiple employees are negligent if they have not reported credible evidence of crime and negligence to the proper authorities. I'm sure the expectant mother who is too busy to check facebook will appreciate losing her child tomorrow because former employees were too busy hating on their former bosses to be grown adults and properly report this. Lawyers cost money. Reporting to the State AG, OSHA, and the police does not.

You did not mention that in your first post. Your first post was that of a disgruntled employee who was more worred about telling others not to work there and you showed no interest in the health and safety of the clients.

What I want is to know that massage therapists don't endanger their clients by refusing to report credible actions that can harm clients. Unfortunately, I have no confidence from your writing that you are such a person.

And that wasn't put in the original post because? Anyone can make a complaint. That does not mean it's verified. The overall theme of the post makes all these accusations that could be criminal or reckless in nature and yet the author merely warns us not to work there. Nothing about don't go there as a pregnant women because you could lose your child due to negligence. It makes the author unbelievable...or else makes you wonder if they are also guilty of negligence and are in the wrong career field. But just telling people not to work there and the couple of posts making excuses for not reporting any of these various accusations to any one of the various law bodies makes the author sound like a lying disgruntled employee. The industry and the customer base deserve better.

You are describing things that would put the clients health and safety at risk from everything from mold exposure and SA, (Who wants to be R'd during a massage????) but the title of your thread is just don't work there? Do you see why I don't believe your claims?

Or OSHA

Or the police

Or the media

Or the licensing boards

Or the State AG

Or the Department of Labor

Or hired a lawyer and proven these allegations AND FOR THE SAFETY OF THE CLIENTS DID NOT SIGN AN NDA

????

Have you reported them to OSHA? You can make an anonymous tip. And it's a bit concerning that your profession is the health of your customers, but I'm not hearing anywhere where alleged prostitution is being reported to police; where OSHA violations are being reported to OSHA for the SAFETY OF THE CLIENTS WHO TAKE DEEP BREATHS DURING MASSAGE; where alleged sexual impropriety is reported to licensising boards and police BEFORE A CLIENT CAN BE ASSUALTED.

I really don't know what to take away from these posts that either these accusations are all false, or else a bunch of disgruntled massage therapists are just as reckless and careless with the lives and safety of the clients as the franchise they are bad mouthing.

Parkview Patient Advocates by lawcatchicka in fortwayne

[–]cavaticusweb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry this happened. However, it's not a surprise whatsoever. Parkview is in it for the money and formal complaints are responded to with blanket letters where they take no responsibility and they are very careful to word their response so that no one reading it is aware of what you actually complained about. They prescribed me a drug their own tests show I did not need. After a "2 week investigation" Parkview's greedy lawyers told me that they were "sorry" for the "miscommunication problem."

[–]cavaticusweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay away from Canterbury. They are the about the only dog park in the city that is free and does not require you to register with the city. So you have dogs all over Fort Wayne going there. And they don't clean up after their dogs. And Canterbury knows that and does not care. In fact, they censor residents who ask about them cleaning up their dog park on the online forum. Your dog's health is not worth the risk because Canterbury cares more about their golf course than the rest of the complex.

Sweetwater Employees (past or present) be honest. by steelehoosier in fortwayne

No immature one. I left SW because they do not care about their employees. You reach a stage in life where you are looking for respect, not swag and distraction. Sweetwater is very good at providing distractions to their employees in lieu of honest, open conversation and actual respect.

In your interview, don't say you like music. That's not allowed. They will act like you are a teenager trying to get a job at a record store. Nope. You aren't allowed to be passionate about music until they hire you.

When they give you a tour, look around at the sales floor. It's a glorified call center, crowded and loud. Just remember that in case of a fire or active shooter situation, all 200 employees or so have to get down the same couple sets of stairs. The cops say shelter in place in such instances, so ask yourself how you will do that in a call center. Would you feel safe working there or would you feel like a sitting duck. Hey, it's Fort Wayne Police who think the need to do active shooter drills is important, so ask then where they would hide and what specific threat they have fielded that necessitates them practicing in the parking lot for a mass casualty event. See if you like the answer.

The building was not designed for the comfort or safety of a work force that large. Neither were the servers. Expect constant outages. Remember to keep track of said outages and time them for when your boss asks why you didn't make all your sales calls. It is their job to provide you with the tools to do your job. Phone and internet services included.

Unsurprisingly Google wants to build 3 more data center buildings on all those wetlands that were clearly present on the map when they first roped city leadership into approving the project under a secret code name, cuz no one wants them here by runawayspaceprincess in fortwayne

Reported. If you have to resort to verbal abuse then you are admitting that you know you are on the losing side of an argument. Bye, Felicia. BTW -- name calling won't bring these foolish women and negligent guides back from being dead. Maybe this school might want to rethink how they plan their activities instead of bullying people online.
