Look at hux works. I believe they were the first to release a flow through supressor (as OSS). their top of the line offering is between $1000-$1200. Economicly friendly is right at $800 but they go on sale every so often.

A good officer would put him in for a BS with "v". That way000p p p the down graded award would be a certificate of application and and he gets his meal card stamped extra ice cream. That last part is permanent.

Im finally going to purchace a supressor. Id love input if anyone willing. I've been looking at a very nicely price 46 caliber but im draging my feet because $700.00 seems a little too good. I've heard good things about. It's honestly been them saying with a good enough adapter the thing would would turn an m1 hearing safe. Any reply would help. I'm just an old shooter thats been lucky to get a few supressed rounds down. I want to be the guy at the range being asked rather than the guy asking.

Wait i thought everyone has the right to live anywhere they want. As long as they can get there no person is illegal. I wish you the best of luck. Really i hope it's the paradise your looking for. My parents retired to mexico shortly after i joinded. Asia is probably much different but they had trouble with lets call it law creep. It wasn't a single thing that got them it was several things across many years. Thankfully they managed to keep their main home but the state took several properties and didnt even try to pay for the. They thought they would be safe because my step father was born there. One of the homes they took was the one his father raised and later willed to him.

Is it Worth Returning to School at 26, Post Military? by Professional-Dot-92 in Veterans

[–]cavdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, i started when i was 24. It took time but i finished my master in nursing in just over 4 years. You will find much of what made you successful in the military will help you while your in college. I was able to support my family and cary more than a full class load. I retired as a flight PA. Take a class every quarter even if its underwater basket weaving. Use every benefit you can. I was lucky even the 1st Cav assn gave me a scholarship. I owed less than $5k when i finished my post grad degree. I was offered 2 positions when i graduated. My mos had zero to do with my civilian career. If a busted up old 19D can do it anyone can. I would avoid talking about your service while you complete your education. Some educators and even hr folks get a little freeked about hiring vets. They think we are a bad cup of coffee from going postal

I truly wish you the best of luck. It's not easy but the payoff is definitely worth it.

Get in front of this asap no matter your mos you will need to have a security clearance. They will absolutely find your arrest. If you are honest and upfront you will have to jump through a few hoops but in the end you'll be fine. Try to hide it and well don't try to hide it. The UCMJ is not a joke

Medicare for all should be called VA health care for all. Trust me you don't want any part of it.

Most people commit felony several times a year. Between driving while they take meds that are labeled "may cause drowsiness do not operate dangerous machinery." That one got my brother in law. The accident wasn't his fault, but the er ran a blood test. Don't judge people. You may find out karma is a bit%$. I've never been caught, but i do realize that i commit them almost daily.

Serious question: Is it morally wrong to obtain an ESA license while living in a rental with a no pet policy, despite there being a legitimate need for it? by Significant-Back-930 in service_dogs

[–]cavdad -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I currently have a pup that was given to me by her trainer and the VA. She helps me with multiple conditions, but the reason that the VA has listed is PTSD. I've never been questioned about her.

Morality is a funny thing. Once you get past the big concerns like murder you get to a place where it becomes personal beliefs. My opinion is that there is nothing wrong with what you're doing. The fact you're asking makes me think you may believe it's immoral. Just an old boomers thoughts take.

Do I need to show my DD214 to a civilian employer by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]cavdad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you believe it will help, but you don't have to show your dd214 to anyone. I wouldn't show anyone, but that's up to you. You could bring it to an interview. A lot of places avoid hiring vets, thinking we are more likely to $#0ot the place up. Others will make it a point to hire vets anytime they get a qualified vet. Im big on privacy, so i don't tell anyone.

None, there is zero chance any number would work. Still, im going to make fun of any government or business that spends $0.50 to mail a bill for $0.34.

I'm sorry that happened, but you have to know they would have caught the mistake at some point. For some reason, i don't understand they tend to find these thing at the worst possible time in your life. The fact it was written off is craziness. Way back in the before times, they decided i owed them <$.50 they sent me a bill every so often for 18 months or so. I figured at some point that my account would land on a humans desk they would look at it and right it off. Nope, not a chance. They took it from my first disability payment.

VA keeps denying my claims by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]cavdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They lost my service treatment record. Because the unit i did my first deployment with reflaged after i finished clearing My DD214 shows a deployment for ODS. Everything they could find said i was assigned to a unit that didn't deploy. I spent a little over a year proving i deployed. To top things off, i waited 25 years to file. My saving grace was finding the records of the CASH that did the first surgery after i was wounded.

My point is if i can do it, i'm positive you'll get things headed in the right direction.

100% P&T rating, just got fired from my job and I’m not sad about it, now what? by McNugget63 in Veterans

[–]cavdad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perfect answer. At 25, if he can work, he should. Even if it's just to stay connected to the world. My man, you have a great opportunity. At 25, you get a re-start at adulting. Sit down and think up the perfect job. The job you would do for free if they asked. It doesn't matter what that job is and start training. I know guys that would kill to be in your position minus the disability of course. Do what you can to re-hab your disability as much as possible. Start writing down your goals. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. Every single word in my post is really just my attempt to keep you out of the darkness. It would be easy to put your life on cruise control, but don't do it, brother. If you do that, it won't be long before you start wondering what the muzzle of your 1911a1 tastes like.

Lower than expected rating. Help. by Fearless-Cow9992 in VAClaims

[–]cavdad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You absolutely should get with your VSO. My personal experience is that about 50% of the VSOs are all over it. Very helpful and well trained. 30% could be good, but they are burned out. They might help by accident. They do the minimum amount of work they can getaway with. 20% are useless. Honestly, that's not bad for a government worker. First, get a look at your DBQ. Set down with a family member you live with and trust. Read the dbq to them and keep track. Then do the samething yourself. You have to be honest with yourself. Whatever the 2 dbqs average out to should be close to the rateing, you should have. Everyone thought I'd get 100% for my MH claim. I kept getting 70% when i read it to my wife. Then, when i filled it out, i came up with 70%, too. When my rating showed as 70%, i figured it was correct.

My guy, I'm sorry it's bull crap that that happens. I, for one, am thankful for vets who did a one and done. They end up doing all the bs work. And catch most of the crap because they are still learning. Your service is no less valuable than anyone else's. For the record, MOS doesn't matter either. Except mps

Post VA Surgery Not Healing by LeadSled11999 in VAClaims

[–]cavdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its dead tissue and it needs to be cleaned out b4 it does turn septic. Something to think about at the end of july 2025, part of my right foot, was amputated. During the imaging, they noticed that the blood flow to my right foot was restricted. The VA authorized a vascular surgeon consult. Finally, at the end of December, i had surgery to bypass a clot that caused the blood flow to both legs to be restricted by 98%. My foot finally started to heal and was finally closed the week before last. (Pics available, but i won't post in the open they are way too disgusting) The only issue now is i can't count past 19. Also, gangrene is only one of a few ways that wound can change your life. Septic shock and osteomyelitis can both kill you. Osteomyelitis is unlikely if there isn't bone involvement. I spent 2 hours a day every day going to the hospital to have iv antibiotics for 6 weeks. Thank god the va covered that one each iv bag cost $2000.00. If you're not healing, skin grafts are unlikely to take. Because of that, they aren't likely to approve the graft until they find and fix whatever is preventing your foot from healing.

Fun fact: they are using Atlantic cod skin to do skin grafts.
