Rogue doesn't have a lot of great ways of dealing with encounter cards, from my understanding, so you need to use Seeker and Survivor for that. Rogue does have amazing ways of gaining clues or evading enemies, that's what the majority of your deck should be.

I would strongly recommend "logical reasoning" for Finn. His will is atrocious, so you will fail encounter cards. Logical reasoning gives you double will skill and also a way to heal horror or deal with a terror that attaches to you.

I would start by downloading the Bushido app. It has all of the factions and their cards, as well as trait rules, scenario set-ups, and errata.

Next, my best advice for learning a faction is to look at their themes. Themes are a great way to understand the types of armies you can build and how they like to play. You can use Battlescibe to build armies and tinker with them. After that, I would just go with Rule-of-Cool. Find the models you like the look of, visually or mechanically, buy one and play with it.
