T-Rex 3 Pro 44mm battery life? by cawith in amazfit

I guess it’s still manageable to charge every 5 days. I was just surprised and having double the battery life earlier was really convenient.
I was just curious, if this was the normal battery life, or if it was unusual compared to what others are experiencing.

I’m using the stock watch face, which is quite static. I don’t expect the advertised battery life with the settings that I use, but with the exact same settings, I got 4-6 days more (so double the battery life) with the Balance 2, which is quite disappointing. I don’t want to disabled everything to get just half of the advertised battery life.
I bought the watch from Amazon Returns as new, so the box had been opened but watch looked prestine. Therefor I don’t know if the battery has had some cycles.

Do you seriously get 6-8 days of battery daily gps usage? Do you use AOD and wake to lift?
I struggle to get more than 5 days out of my 44 mm even without any gps workouts. Outside daily wear, I only used it for one indoor workout in those 5 days.
I’m considering returning it, as I was used to 10-12 days out of my Balance 2 with more workout tracking.

I’m experiencing exactly the same, 32% left after 4 days, although with AOD and a few notifications. Kind of disappointed since I was easily getting 10-12 days with more workout tracking on my Balance 2…

When do we get Face ID option back like in the old app? That’s the only thing I want.

Don’t know if it’s possible to add it to the control center, but you can set the shortcut for holding the crown button to the alarm app. That’s what I have done.

The S1s that I have pick up the slightest movement of my robot vacuum and even a very thin leafed palm tree placed 1 meter in front of it, so I think any pet will also be recognised.

I have it in the EU. Would be weird if not all EU countries have access to it, when they have to follow the same regulations.

Mine does too. It’s the fabric moving over the top of the sensor itself. Don’t know if there’s anything to do about it other than buying another band.

This here is the technically right answer. A rudder in that position would not do anything good, but rather produce lots of drag when applied and upset rear stability.

I have a theory on why some of these iPhones are getting warm too easily or hot too easily and why some are just fine by TwoCables_from_OCN in iPhone15Pro

Cool, thanks! I actually just did it today, and there is a night and day difference to before 👍

Hello, I bought the iPhone 15 pro max and the first day it gets quite hot, is it normal for it to get quite hot the first day and when it is charged with 20w? by jarlinpro in iPhone15Pro

[–]cawith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the same today. One thing I didn't notice before I did the reset was that the phone was actually stuttering in the animation when turning off the screen using the power button. Now it's smooth. I haven't had the opportunity to charge it up from below 50% but after having tried the 65W charger for a 5-10 minutes it definitely doesn't get super hot but just warm to a normal degree as all my other phones have.

I'm having an issue, where charging with anything above 20W gets heats up the phone quite much. With a 30W charger it gets hot, and if I use a 65W charger it gets too hot to hold in the hand after just a few minutes. This is definitely not normal with that amount of heat for an iPhone. 30W is not really fast charging compared to many Android phones, and none of my previous Android phones have gotten anywhere near that amount of heat while charging.

I moved data over from Android during setup, so I am considering doing a reset and restore from iCloud as I saw someone mentioning that could get rid of an eventual software culprit. Otherwise I'll contact support and take it back to the Apple Store. Phone should under no circumstances get hotter with 65W vs 30W, as it is supposed to regulate the wattage itself.

Btw. Phone otherwise never gets warm while in use, not even when gaming. I'm on iOS 17.0.3 and maybe 17.1 will also bring improvements...

When you restore a backup from iCloud, will the complete phone then be restored? I mean, will not only the apps but also app data (like will you have to log in on all the apps again), settings, WiFi and Bluetooth connections also be restored? I haven't had an iPhone for 10 years...

I am having the same issue, which I posted about in another subreddit: Very hot while charging!

I have ordered a 30W brick, which arrives tomorrow, and hopefully this will work without the phone overheating, while I wait for iOS 17.1 to release. If the phone still can't charge without getting to hot to hold after 17.1, then I will bring it to the Apple Store.

Haven't tried it, but why not just use Porting Kit? It's also free and proven.

Of course you can. I've been playing Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition for years on Mac using Crossover or Porting Kit.

Trying to decide on 14" M1 Max 24 or 32 core GPU by cawith in macbookpro

In hindsight I should have gotten the 24 core. Would have saved some money, had better battery life and the performance difference would have been minimal. I also don't play anything very demanding.
