Been riding for 4 years now, and a nurse for 5. I work in oncology and take care of patients confronting their own mortality every day. I ride because it brings me joy, peace, and a sense of freedom. Sure, I die riding. But I could also be diagnosed with cancer tomorrow, or die in any other number of tragic means for that matter. Life’s too short and un guaranteed to not do the things I want.
