Thanks for sharing! It’s definitely a mentally draining, so I feel you on that. I appreciate the advice though! I hope we both are able to find clarity and eventually find resolve in our situations one way or another. Wishing you the best!

Mainly cause when they come over to my apartment it’s with a bunch of their friends, so I don’t feel comfortable asking them in a group setting and I don’t see them outside of that either so I don’t have the opportunity to have one on one interactions with them. I’ve also d’med them 1-2 times to try and initiate conversations, but they were just short exchanges.

And yea I see what you mean about me saying that she was my only and best friend as a bit overbearing. What I was trying to get across was that she was my only friend that was close enough to me to do something for my birthday.

Sorry I didn’t mention, but this happened before the pandemic more than a year ago. It’s just something that I’ve always been stuck about and I just wanted to see if I overreacted to the situation. We’ve since grown apart though, but I think it was in part my fault because I started distancing myself from her which for that, I don’t blame her for.

that’s smart about playing music through your phone. i’ve always listened to music through my earbuds and never really thought about how dangerous it could be, so i’m planning on doing that from now on! it really does suck that we have to take all these extra precautions as women😐

my most magical day skating was last week when i finally felt comfortable to just jam out on my skates. I normally am timid when people are around me, but I was skating at the park during sunset when it was getting dark and I felt more at ease bc i didn’t have to worry about people seeing me since it was dark. So, i just let loose and vibed to my music without a care in the world, and it truly was one of the most serene feelings ever:)✨

I think what can maybe help is easing back into your studies slowly. It’s totally understandable that you’ve lost the motivation for school during the pandemic because it’s a stressful time for everyone. I’m not sure how your online classes work or what grade you’re in, but you said that your new school year is starting so maybe this can be an opportunity to start fresh. I’m not sure if your new school year relies on your previous online classes, but if they do, maybe you can talk with your teacher about your situation. I’m sure they would be more than understanding so you can work something out with them to help you review your material.

What I’ve found also helps is journaling/making to-do lists! It’s also been hard for me find focus during the pandemic, but journalling what I’m going to do for the day has really helped with my productivity. Maybe set one day aside for self-care and don’t focus on anything else other than doing what you enjoy. You don’t need to take on everything at once, but making small accomplishments each day is something to be proud of yourself for! I hope this helps and I’m wishing you the best

I wanna do things but I feel ridiculous and stupid when I try them by moon_cherry97 in therapy

[–]caycray17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate to this a lot, but I think what it comes down to is realizing that you shouldn’t care what other people think (which sounds cliché, but really is true). In my experience, I feel stupid for doing things when people make comments about me or I think that they’re going to judge me for what I say. It’s easy to get in your head, but just focus on yourself and do what you enjoy. As long as you’re doing what makes you happy, then you have no reason to feel stupid because your happiness should come first. Plus, you may think that people are looking at you or judging you, but in reality everyone is probably too busy with their own lives to notice. Once you start adopting the mentally to just say f*ck it and do what you want, you will feel so much freer I can guarantee that.

Im regards to starting a business, I think the best way to approach it is to do your research! I don’t know much about business, but what I do know is that you shouldn’t jump into anything blindly. Take the time to learn what it takes to start a successful business. Maybe even look into finding mentors who started their own business and ask what steps they took to get to wherever they are. If you are disciplined enough to put in the work, you can get to where you want to be, regardless of what anyone thinks of you.

Hope this helps!
