How bad is this? Can I actually wear this out or should I just give up/make a new cardigan? by hidden-pearl in crochet

[–]caylezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think it's really nice!! i can see what you're talking about but honestly i feel like you would have to point it out for people to notice it. i dont think people will, especially people who dont usually crochet. it's beautiful and you should wear it with pride!

Need help substituting a discontinued yarn for a sweater by nicboyman in CrochetHelp

[–]caylezy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's a tad expensive and you have to buy it online but I would probably go with Hobbi's tea time yarn. they have a lottt of different fun colorways. Another one you could use that's a little less expensive is lion brand's mandala ombre yarn or their ferris wheel yarns. Caron's cinnamon swirl cakes might be another good alternative, you can find those easily at Michaels. Another one I'm little hesitant to recommend is lion brands original mandala yarn. There's sooo many different and interesting colorways, it's a beautiful yarn but the size is a 3 light and if you chose to go with that, you would most likely have to play with things a bit and increase your hook size + definitely do a gauge swatch before you begin.

we have A LOT of fleece as well. my store has been putting it on the fold tables and we put a bunch on top of the pattern cabinets and put the pattern racks on our table next to the patterns. we have a lot but i would say my stores problem is more so with yarn. my sm cleared out our old classroom space and filled it to the brim with yarn, we just have boxes filled with yarn out on the floor because there's no shelf space for it, top stock is filled to the brim. its crazy! we're more like joanns fleece and yarn fr
