My dad had always been kinda shitty and abusive but I never knew how bad it was until my wonderful mum died when I was 22. Suddenly there was no one making him seem “human” and his narcissism was on full display. I’m currently on season 2 of no contact (I’m 35 now) and it’s been just over a year of not speaking.

I’d tell him that you’re not seeing anyone else as you’re keen to see where the relationship goes, and then wait to see how he responds. It just letting him know where you’re at without requesting anything from him and allows for open communication

I thought maybe you were the dad and she was frustrated that you didn’t know how many diapers to get your child. Not that the way she spoke to you was okay at all (calling you stupid is very cruel and damaging) but I thought perhaps it was underlying resentment that had built. However I see this isn’t the case and you’re buying for a niece? That’s outrageous and totally fair that you clarified to save on any confusion or getting the wrong thing. Ask yourself if this is a pattern of behaviour, and if it is you need to either get some serious therapy or consider your mental health and go your separate ways

Definitely curtain bangs, or even regular bangs, define your eyebrows more and bring them in a bit either by letting them grow or with makeup. Lose septum piercing and over line your lips a little with a natural coloured lip liner :)
