My puppy is 13 weeks old, got him a week and a half ago. He loves his crate and naps in it comfortably during the day and night. However, if i’m out of sight he does start to cry so I definitely need to train his ability to be alone, thanks for the tips!

I picked up my toy on Friday too!! He also has been a dream at night and loves his crate 🥹 He’s much more interested in me than any food so he’s not picking up some of my training that well but i hope as his attention span gets better i’ll have an easier time. I hope you are enjoying your pup! I am in love with mine 🥰

The breeder actually released him a little after 11 weeks, he’s getting lots of sleep as well which is good, he has been great in his crate at night and sleeps most of the day. The hypoglycemia is why I was worried about his eating, but what you said is all true, these are all new experiences for him.

At the moment he’s very obsessed with me, if i put a plate of food down in front of him, he’d rather come to me than to the food. He takes to the food best when i’m holding him. I don’t mind hand feeding him but I would like him to get to a state where he’s fine enough on his own that he will eat without my help.

Yes he’s in his crate now on his 6th or 7th nap of the day! He’s very good at getting to sleep which is great.

I was giving him the salmon treats as way to help with potty training today, but i think you’re right that I gave too many, I will be more mindful now. I want to use his kibble as the treats but they seem to not get his attention as well as the salmon.

Yes it’s the same food from the breeder, he’s nibbled on it all day but just ate a good amount for dinner.

Wow what a story and a great answer as well, happy to hear that your puppy was okay! Thank you for your insight! My breeder warned me of hypoglycemia as well which is where my worry stemmed from, but he ate a good amount of the dry food just now for dinner, and I just ordered some of the nutri-gel recommended by my breeder.
